It was mentioned on the Monday night meeting that the rearranged game was a 1pm kick off due to internal issues....it wasn't possible to have a 3pm KO .
Typical Darlo luck really.

Re: Current Cash Flow
At the end of the day the right decision has been made the pitch would still have been unplayable even if the kick off was at 7pm.
The club have tried everything within their means and resources available to get the game on.
We are all aware finances are tight so let's make sure we support the club and spread the word that we have a game against Harrogate on Boxing day. Let's fill the ground.

Re: Current Cash Flow
It would be good if we had better online ticketing - maybe even an app that can be scanned at the turnstiles.
This way we could offer tickets weeks before games all year round, at a reduced price (£10 or £12). The reduced price would encourage more people to buy upfront and allows a quicker access at the game, one cash turnstile one pre purchased and ST. Then if the games are called off your ticket would still be applicable to the re-arranged game but the club doesn’t lose out on the cash coming in.
How much would a system like this cost to implement? All the app would need to do is upon purchase of a ticket issue a unique barcode for scanning. App would pay for itself with in app advertising, access to donating money or even purchasing 50/50 tickets!
Thoughts?

Online ticketing offered for the York City home game works exactly this way.DFCAnth wrote:It would be good if we had better online ticketing - maybe even an app that can be scanned at the turnstiles.

Your ticket is emailed to you with a barcode on. You can either print it or keep it on your phone. It will be scanned as you go through the turnstile.

Online ticketing for all games is an idea that is under consideration by DFCSG / DFC boards.
