Harrogate V Darlington FC
Looking forward to today’s game, think we’ll have the edge on vocal support, obviously it will a completely different game them at home 4 G pitch and a point to prove from Boxing Days result, tbh I’d be happy with a point, a win would really get the season rolling, see you there

Looking forward to it. Haway Darlo!
Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
No reason why we can't turn them over again. No ainge for them tomorrow so we know they'll start Beck. We know what he's all about. Stop the crosses and if we can tighten the midfield and get onto the second balls and knock downs we can nulify their threat.
A point would be a good result but 6 points over Christmas and new year would leave us looking up the table rather than down. I'd go with the same team to boxing day, unless Galbraith is fit to play. Might change the bench depending on availability.
------------------------- Talbot ----------------------------
Collins ---- Heaton ----- Brown ---- Galbraith
------------------------- Turnbull --------------------------
Gillies ----- Wheatley --- Syers ---- Thompson
--------------------------- Styche ---------------------------
Subs: Scott, Portas, Saunders, Trotman, Mills

On my way from Mancland. Two big games in a row, think we will get something out of at least One of them.

Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
I'd take a draw, anything more than 3 points from the next 3 tough games, would be a bonus.
Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
I'd be over the moon with a draw. I doubt we saw the best of Harrogate on Boxing Day.

Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
With Salford wobbling a bit, they will be up for it without doubt so this will be a tough game and we will have to dig in probably more than we did on boxing day.Ainge being out is a bonus, Beck will come in but need to stop crosses coming in from there wide men.A draw would be good, 3 points fantastic.

Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
Based on what you've said about Beck, I'd be tempted to play a couple of more 'defensive' wingers than Gillies and Thompson in case they try to push their full backs up to get more crosses in. Maybe Portas and Galbraith with Scott at left back?JE93 wrote:No reason why we can't turn them over again. No ainge for them tomorrow so we know they'll start Beck. We know what he's all about. We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
come on one caton on bench is too much but TWO!!!!!!
Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
Haha apologies. One of them was meant to be glover. Atleast 2 Caton's on the bench is better than 1 on the pitch.darlo reborn wrote:come on one caton on bench is too much but TWO!!!!!!
Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
Brown gets a yellow after 2 mins for a foul on Beck. Sounds like harrogate players and fans are calling for cards every time there is a foul.

Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
Low key start to the game, Stych has had the only shot, which was nearer hitting the corner flag that the goal.

Wheatley booked for a foul on Falkingham. Not good having 2 booked inside the first 15 minutes.

Talbot makes a good save. It seems to be Harrogate getting on top, as they have plenty of pressure.

0-0 HT Darlo have a strong finish to the half. Keep it up Darlo.

They are diving, rolling, moaning, and gesturing at every tackle. Faulkingham, especially, is auditioning for Splash.JE93 wrote: Sounds like harrogate players and fans are calling for cards every time there is a foul.

Sounds like there's a sniper shooting the Harrogate players, the way they're falling down.Beano wrote:They are diving, rolling, moaning, and gesturing at every tackle. It's all going Pete Tong as Harrogate score after a brilliant save by Talbot. Galbraith and Saunders on for Scott and Turnbull.

Re: Harrogate V Darlington FC
Galbraith mistake nearly leads to a third for Harrogate. Sounds like Harrogate are far more likely to score than us.
