Simply embarrassing.

Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
Wright has put out this team, in this shape. We conceded three in 12 minutes on Wednesday, 2 in 20 today, 3 in pretty much every game since he took over.
Genuine question, is he good enough to turn this around?

Why did we not go for Chris hardy? Does anyone know?
Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
Let’s be honest Wright wouldn’t have been in many fans top ten choices. I hope he can turn it round but the signs aren’t great at the moment. Never mind play offs, if you offered me a fourth bottom finish I’d snap your hand off!

Am having doubts now. Really wish it was different. I don't think there is a contingency plan for relegation either. DJ said as much.

Sadly, I have to agree. Anyone with an eye on the play offs must be absolutely deluded.piggy wrote:Let’s be honest Wright wouldn’t have been in many fans top ten choices. Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
Listening to the commentary we have no shape whatsoever, that starting lineup was crazy, why Thommo at RB when we have Mares for gods sake, come on Tommy man just get a half decent back 4 and play everyone in their normal positions.Starting with 4 wide men is suicide. Wheatley should have started with Turnbull and Portas in midfield and 3 up front.Hardly rocket science is it.

I think Ron that he's still experimenting with his squad. By the time he settles on his preferred formation though we'll be doomed. I couldn't face the bloody Evo-Stik again.
Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
I think it's fair to say Tommy Wright is out of his depth. He's brought nothing to the table since his arrival.

I think it was said that Marrs wants to leave - so thats probably why Thommo was at RBtheoriginalfatcat wrote:We are having a total mare !!QUAKERMAN2 wrote:why Thommo at RB when we have Mares for gods sake

So what? He's not left and we're still paying him. Get him in the team.PierremontQuaker03 wrote:I think it was said that Marrs wants to leave - so thats probably why Thommo was at RBtheoriginalfatcat wrote:We are having a total mare !!QUAKERMAN2 wrote:why Thommo at RB when we have Mares for gods sake
A back four of Marrs, Brown, Collins and Galbraith is 3/4 of the back four that finished in a play off spot last season and should be capable of more.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
Team is totally bereft of confidence which is why we’re making so many silly mistakes. With the run of fixtures coming up it’s going to be very difficult to instill that confidence into them. We have to just hope we can nick something from one of the tough games and it gives us a bit of belief. I think TW knows how he wants to play but maybe doesn’t have the personnel to do so and is trying to find the right formula. Definitely need to go back to basics, the most worrying thing is that it sounds as though the players don’t know their roles

seems like we are playing better with 10 men, Wright will learn a lot about the team today

Since Wright and White took over, we've conceded 3 goals in 5 out of 6 games

FT 1-3, bad day at the office.
Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
Can't wait to get smashed twice by Harrogate bloody Town, when we'll no doubt be cemented in the bottom three. Merry Christmas one and all
Re: Gainsborough v Darlington Match Thread
One draw from six games and regression in our defensive capabilities.
Players not understanding their roles is criminal in football for me. Fine, he's not been at it long but I'm not getting a sense of clarity of thought and direction at all.
I want him to do well, I really do, but he's not at the moment.

Couldn’t understand his appointment when it occurred and I think most of us felt the same.Talks the talk but certainly can’t walk the walk.Absolutely no doubt we are in a scrap to stay in this league and to be honest I don’t think we will.'piggy wrote:Let’s be honest Wright wouldn’t have been in many fans top ten choices.
