Re: Weekend Fixtures
Probably not, is it really safe for teams to be setting off and heading across the county with so many road warnings, never mind whether the pitches are playable.Darlobaz79 wrote:FCUM v GAINSBOROUGH

We will know more tomorrow for our game but I think the midlands who have missed out largely are meant to be getting hit tomorrow with it.
I can see it being a wipe out.
Spenny pitch is ok by all accounts but they need to get rid of all the snow off the covers, which after helping clear our covers of the snow is no easy job and then should the league be asking Leamington to travel if we have travel warnings around the country.

Re: Weekend Fixtures
I seriously doubt they could get 70+ fans to help out, plus there's a lot more snow than we had to clear and I doubt they'll have a tractor to help move the snow.super_les_mcjannet wrote:Probably not, is it really safe for teams to be setting off and heading across the county with so many road warnings, never mind whether the pitches are playable.Darlobaz79 wrote:FCUM v GAINSBOROUGH

Tamworth making a statement at lunchtime tomorrow.
Re: Weekend Fixtures
Just noticed that Curzon have home games scheduled for 3rd + 5th v Nuneaton and Gainsborough before playing us on 10th. Could be useful if they do play as they may be knackered by the time they come to BM, as they meet inform Nuneaton and a 6 pointer with Gainsborough.
We just need to keep our own form going ( and clean sheets if possible) to ensure finishing safely in mid table.

Re: Weekend Fixtures
Not anymore they don't, their match with Nuneaton just got called off and I wouldn't hold out much hope for Monday's game either.jjljks wrote:Just noticed that Curzon have home games scheduled for 3rd + 5th v Nuneaton and Gainsborough before playing us on 10th. Can see almost a total white out at the weekend as things stand.

I'd be very surprised if the game survives this arctic blast, 3G pitch or not.LoidLucan wrote:Tamworth making a statement at lunchtime tomorrow.
Re: Weekend Fixtures
Well, it depends how much snow they have.
They might not have as much as up here.

Re: Weekend Fixtures
Not sure whether this is good or bad news. Good in that it gives our 'flu victims & injuries time to recover, bad in that we seem to be in winning form so could have added another 3pts.Darlobaz79 wrote:OFF

Re: Weekend Fixtures
Only 2 fixtures survive up to now.
North Ferriby v Salford & Spennymoor v Leamington.
I was in the Humberside area last night and I very much doubt the game at North Ferriby will go ahead. Surely it's only a formality for the Spennymoor game to be called off as well.

From Spennymoor website
https://spennymoortownfc.co.uk/thank-yo ... r-support/There is no pitch inspection planned at the moment, but a health and safety assessment will take place this evening to determine whether the game against Leamington should go ahead.
If the game does go ahead, then huge thanks must go to both Hartlepool & Darlington for the loan of the pitch covers.
Re: Weekend Fixtures
Now do us a favour and beat Leamington.

We lost there 4-0 earlier in season, including missing 2 penalties!
Revenge would be nice

According to the BBC, Spennymoor's game has been postponed, which adds to their backlog headaches.
