Rain has stopped and there is no mention of a pitch inspection, so I presume everything is fine with the pitch.

Must admit the pitch has been pretty decent this season. Despite plenty of snow melt and rain, the pitch on Saturday played fairly decently. Bringing the covers over from Bishop has certainly helped. It's been a big improvement on what we had last season.

Aren't the covers at Spennymoor at the moment? Also aren't they covers which prevent frost rather than stopping waterlogging.Darlo_Pete wrote:Must admit the pitch has been pretty decent this season. What I would say has made the big difference is the £45,000 we spent on drainage to improve the pitch. Do you remember when you wanted to prioritise that money for the playing squad instead?

I never said that we shouldn't spend money on the pitch. I wanted to give more money to team building rather than building a stand. I admit I was wrong about that.
