Warren Byrne
Heard a rumour that Warren Byrne, currently at Shildon is on trial. Plenty of goals at Northern League level, you never know, this one might work.
"At a meeting held at the Grammar School on Friday last - Mr Phillip Wood M.A., in the chair - it was resolved to form an Association Football Club for Darlington and neighbourhood. The opinions of those present were so unanimous as to the desirability of this step, that a committee was formed to complete the organisation of the club, and Mr Craven, 17, Garden Street, was appointed secretary pro tem." - The Northern Echo, Monday 23rd July 1883

Re: Warren Byrne
not sure if woz can make the step up to league football but his talents at non-league are unrivalled, he played a few games towards the end of last season for Aycliffe and helped us win promotion to the northern league, also recently got his team to the final of a national 5-a-side competition the final was at wembley before the JPT final. anyone who has ever played football in or around aycliffe will no doubt have heard of this lad as he scores goals for fun who ever he plays for if he gets a contract then good luck to him good old fashioned striker who's not afraid to beat his man and just loves to score goals !
Re: Warren Byrne
41 goals last season is pretty handy like!

He's 26
Re: Warren Byrne
I agree with andi here. Saw Byrne play a few times for aycliffe last season, scored 11 goals in 4 games or something but that was the wearside league and i doubt theres a chance he can make it in the professional game, especially at 26. Great player in the northern league though.
