Game off. Not surprised given the amount of rain we've had and is forecast for the rest of the day. We'll need a miracle for the game at Spennymoor to go ahead.

Sods law, as I was going to introduce my 3yr old son to the joys of watching Darlington and his first football match experience.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Tried to take my lads when they were that age, ended up watching them much more than the game, as all they wanted to do was run around. Hope you have better luck.

Fed up with this now. Have come up for both games this weekend, Monday no chance either. Missed Tamworth, missed Ferriby. At least we'll have a full squad for the rearranged games.

If the Spennymoor game is postponed, looking at their fixture list the game will be rearranged for Thursday the 19th or 26th April as they are playing every Tuesday and a couple of Thursdays already.

Hopefully by then we might get a game on a warm spring evening.

As for Southport, assuming not this Wednesday, they are at Blyth the following mid-week. That would seem to leave Wednesday 18th or 25th April, with Spenny the other mid-week. Begins to look like 5 games for us in the last 15 days of the season.

Looks like the Brewery Field could end Spennymoor's chances of reaching the play-offs, as plenty more rain to come this week.
