Re: Southport
They go for it at least twice every year. They have had 11 managers in the last 5 years.
Re: Southport
I didn't realise but they actually went full time mid season around when they Brough in Davies and Gilchrist. Big new stadium regeneration plans. Looks like they found a 5'er or two down the back of the sofa.

Re: Southport
Reading their statement it says that they want to appoint a manager that has experience winning leagues, not being funny but they can’t be many of them about - managers who have won leagues are likely to be in a job.

Funny I was thinking that, but now that’s history and has managed a side that failed to get to the playoffsgrimsbyquaker wrote:Martin Gray ticks that boxPierremontQuaker03 wrote:Reading their statement it says that they want to appoint a manager that has experience winning leagues, not being funny but they can’t be many of them about - managers who have won leagues are likely to be in a job.

Re: Southport
In a interview I read with Davies I read they were still part time. Don't blame club for improving ground but I get the feeling the owners are deluded. Changing managers twice a season or more won't get them to the football league or even out of the national league north.

Re: Southport
Only 150 season tickets sold. Ground upgrade may only be necessary repairs, so "going for it" may be a stretch, unless they are being heavily sugar daddied. Darlo were such a disorganised pushover at their place, that I didnt notice any talent in their squad. Nuneaton under TW around the same time looked more pacy and far more dangerous.
