Tonight’s Games
Spenny 1 up
Re: Tonight’s Games
1-1 Poor back pass by Tait to Porter let Morgan Smith in to square it to Dinanga to score.

Listened to the Ainsley interview after the Darlo game and he was bemoaning the amount of defensive errors they have made this season - looks like it is continuing tonight!

Spenn 2-1 down now. Do they actually want a play off place?

Re: Tonight’s Games
Spenny teasing York City, letting them think they have a chance.
Re: Tonight’s Games
Noticed that Nuneaton's home game tonight with Boston was called off due to "floodlight failure." It was called off a few hours before the game. Is it normal to do checks on floodlights during the day before a night match and why didn't they get a sparky out to fix things? I ask this because there are rumours of players not being paid at Nuneaton and I wonder if something's going on. And there's not a lot of time to fit this one in now.

I'm in a real dilemma here. I want Spenn to do it as it'll be so funny if YCFC fail to make the p/offs. But on the other hand it's great fun witnessing Spenn bottle it. Maybe BPA claiming the last p/off place would be the best outcome.super_les_mcjannet wrote:Spenny teasing York City, letting them think they have a chance.

Re: Tonight’s Games
So the Darlo play off dream stays alive.
We need a big win tomorrow and the a Ferriby win over Spenny on Thu. Then we need all other results to go in our favour and we sneak in the playoffs on goal difference with a convincing 4-0 win v Stockport on Saturday.
Obviously not a chance and I would be happy with 4 points from the final 2 games.

f/t Bottlers 1 Bucks 2
Re: Tonight’s Games
Spenny have North Ferriby at home and Southport at home. At least 4 points there. However, BPA have Kiddy away. Kiddy though cannot move from 4th so may rest a few players.
Re: Tonight’s Games
The dad of one of their players was stood near me on Saturday. He said they hadn't been paid for six weeks.LoidLucan wrote:Noticed that Nuneaton's home game tonight with Boston was called off due to "floodlight failure." Re: Tonight’s Games
If Chorley don't win at Brackley tomorrow then Stockport are assured 5th place and can't move from there. Time to rest some players? If we win the last 2 then I can hopefully see us finishing 10th.super_les_mcjannet wrote:So the Darlo play off dream stays alive.

Re: Tonight’s Games
Very good point for Barrow at Bromley tonight. If they match Woking's result on Sat they stay up. And even a defeat will do (as long as it's not by nine) if Woking only draw. Barrow at home to Chester; Woking home to Dover who are still in with a p/off shout.
Re: Tonight’s Games
It's all gone belly up since Spenny put the new seats in. I wouldn't mind but their fans didn't even want to sit in them last week and stood up in the all-seater end.

Only 610 at Spenny wonder why Groves bothers

Darlopartisan, did you have to?! I sense a spen666 "attendance as percentage of town's population" post in the ether.Darlopartisan wrote:Only 610 at Spenny wonder why Groves bothers
Re: Tonight’s Games
Just mention the seven-figure groves backing. It's radio silence then.

Re: Tonight’s Games
Spennymoor must have some tears tonight, blew a 1-0 lead then conceded the winner to 10 men Telford. Bradford PA fans probably could not believe their eyes and their team now in with a real chance of the playoffs. Wonder if Spennymoor is now regretting spending the money on improving their seating? Would have been wiser to do the drains first

Spenny will still make the playoffs, they will beat Ferriby and Southport.

Will you just not accept that the in bred have not quite worked out what these strange things are and consequently do not know what to do with them. ...either way the implosion continues, Joe Tait always an amateur ...never a pro

This is what I'm hoping for. As much as Spennymoor aren't our rivals, it would be hilarious seeing the serial bottlejobs once again bottle it.biccynana wrote:I'm in a real dilemma here. Plus hardly anyone expected Bradford PA to be up there. And their manager Mark Bower is ex-Darlo too.
