West Auckland are clearly chucking the cash around as they have also managed to get Whitby's captain Steven Snaith to join them. Whitby said they did "absolutely everything in their power" to keep him. Sounds like one of those pocketful of vibes calling again. Nathan Fisher had a great season for West, scoring 42 league goals and 5 in the cup. They'll certainly be challenging for the title next season and no doubt will go well in the Vase.
I've got a lot of time for Gary Forest, the West boss. I remember after we beat his Shildon team on their own ground he was full of praise and respect for Darlo and the achievement in hauling the club back up off the ground.
