What's their standard. Decent League 1/lower Championship?

Impossible to say what their standard is. SPL varies so much. But they did reach the final of both Scottish Cups last season.

Looking at us. Looks to me like we started 5-3-2

Motherwell dominated the first half but we had a good second half. A lot of players look unfit although Saunders looked very sharp and took his goal very well. Hughes looks like a unit and should be a good player if he can get fit. Keeper made some decent saves too.

First game together for many of the players. Several pre-season games to come and hopefully we should peak at the right time.
Just organised a few days in Darlo so looking forward to Holland this weekend, then RA, Legends and Northallerton.

Darlo certainly needed that game, a couple of players were well out of condition, and need to shift some excess weight before the season starts proper, although they showed that they can play football, I saw some good things and some not too good but it's a preseason so nothing to serious to
Worry about, three weeks is a long time and I have to say all in we will be back in and looking good for season start.

I got a bit of a shock when I saw Hughes - doesn't look in peak physical shape, but he can certainly play football. Looks like he'll be a good signing and our holding midfielder. Reckon him and Wheatley will complement each other well. Burn had a decent game too against an attack far better than we will face this season. Saunders played well too - was making more intelligent runs which was great to see.

Second half with 4 at the back we looked far more comfortable than in the first half when we played 5 at the back. Decent enough crowd, and a very good run out

3-5-2 first half and 4-4-1-1 second. Thought first half we were badly exposed down the sides allowing the Motherwell players to cross at will. Second half we looked much better and scored a very well taken goal by Harvey. Probably unlucky to not have been awarded a penalty at 3-1, then the remaining first teamers were taken off.

When i saw hughes i thought jesus christ what a lump but once he started to settle into the game you could see he had something about him. Some nice passes for instance if he can shed about a stone i reckon he will be a very good player in our league but he really needs to work on that fitness asap
