Darlo odds

Post by SteveSC » Mon Jul 23, 2018 3:12 pm

William Hills current odds offer Darlo at 25/1 to win league (joint 13th)

Stockport favourites at 6/1, York second favs at 13/2

Quarter odds 1,2,3

Roughly 8/1 to finish in top3 worth a shot - probably a bit optimistic for me, but would hope we are closer to playoffs than 13 or thereabouts

I think those odds are more than fair for us. I'd have expected us to be 16/1 to 20/1, given our support your more likely to get more bets from Darlo fans than less well supported teams in our division. Perhaps worth an each way bet?

Also 25-1 with Betfred & Megabet (Stan James). I've taken it with Betfred.

I wouldn't back us at 50/1 TBH we have a smaller and weaker squad in my opinion.. But let's hope I'm proved wrong..

Put £10 each way on Darlo today with BetFred at 25/1. I reckon we'll win tomorrow and you won't get 25/1 after the game.

The bookies won't shift the odds for winning a game against inferior rated opposition at home. The Spennymoor game would be more of a signal for the bookies if we won that. I think 25-1 is highly generous.

After today's performance, I'd expect many more bookies to be offering 25/1 or even 28/1.

Probably a reflection of bets placed after 5.00 pm on Saturday, as much as anything else. If so, that people are willing to give us a punt at (then) 25-30/1 says something about views for the season rather than of an opening fixture.
