Ashton United on Monday
If anyone's got pre-booked train tickets from what I've seen on here.
There's Creamfields and Gay Pride this weekend in Manchester.

I'm going to the match by car and you'll go nowhere near the city centre. I can't see very many going by train, most will go by coach or car.

Me and Vodka Vic coming over from Lincs...it’s a season defining game, already!
Re: Ashton United on Monday
I missed game on Sat as at Rugby League cup final at Wembley, so definitely going to the game on Monday, as also missing next Sat game as well due to attending a wedding. Hope TW gets the team sorted as really looking forward to the game.
Re: Ashton United on Monday
Is it too early to call this a "must win" game?
I'd say not - we need to arrest this alarming slide. If we lose at Ashton we'll definitely get beaten by Alfreton and 1-2-5 would be an appalling start.
Beat Ashton and it could be the start of a turnaround - though I still think we'll be lucky to get a result against Alfreton.

Re: Ashton United on Monday
After yesterday I've no idea how many will make the trip, hopefully a couple of hundred.
Re: Ashton United on Monday
Couldn't do yesterday due to a wedding so was looking forward to traveling to Ashton tomorrow but after that result I'm going to give it a miss.

Knowing Darlo, we'll probably play far better and record a convincing win.

Re: Ashton United on Monday
Goodness knows what side we'll put out today, but hopefully they'll be changes and not to just cover the injuries from Saturday.
Re: Ashton United on Monday
I would have thought today's team would be;
................... Maddison
Trottman.....Burn.....Ainge......Phantom
Thompson.... Elliott.... Syers...... Henshall/ Nicholson
Styche......Saunders.

Let's hope they don't ghost past our left back too often.quakerste wrote:I would have thought today's team would be;

Re: Ashton United on Monday
Far too early to worry about the spectre of relegation, but three points would be nice all the same.My opinion wrote:Nice to see people getting into the spirit of the occasion.mikkyx wrote:Let's hope they don't ghost past our left back too often.quakerste wrote:I would have thought today's team would be;

Nah, fans want to see exciting football, you know. Fans don't like defensive competence, or something.

I might have missed this, but here's Henshall? Not in the 16 for Alty or today.

17 goals (and counting) conceded in 7 games. Feck me. We really are a soft touch now.

Re: Ashton United on Monday
Sorry but this reign of TW is heading south and fast, almost as if the players have given up the ghost...
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Re: Ashton United on Monday
This must be a record surely, absolutely wafer thin at the back but I have said it before, the way our 2 full backs keep bombing forward things will never change.Surely Tommy has to look at the way he sets us up.LoidLucan wrote:17 goals (and counting) conceded in 7 games. Is it bad? They were saying we were playing okay on DFR...
