Unfortunately things don't seem to be working out for him up in Scotland. He hasn't even been named on the team sheet in the last 5 games and he's only made 2 appearances this season in the cup back in July.

It's a real shame as he was excellent for us!

I could be wrong but I think he's been injured the last couple of months. Wouldnt have helped Alan Stubbs getting the sack so early too.

He’s been playing for the reserves from what I gather but you may be right

Could he be available for a loan back to Darlington?

I'd be very surprised if he doesn't make an impression north of the border. Obviously St. Mirren are well below the strength of Scottish Premiership and they are really struggling. It's hard to shine in a pretty poor side.

local street word (my step dads colleague who is an SM season ticket holder) is that the new manager doesn't fancy him and that his wages are too high.

shame for the lad

Bet he’s wishing he’d chosen Middlesbrough instead looking at the opportunities Wing has had.

I doubt Boro was a realistic option for him. If it was, i can't imagine a world where anyone would choose St Mirren.

I doubt loaning him is an option; St Mirren would probably want his wages covered. It's not like taking young lads from Boro, Sunderland and the like where they just want some first team experience.

....?

If a loan was a possibility then a forward should be more of a priority.

Please tell me you're hinting that there's a possibility of a loan move and not just referring to his previous potential chance of joining Boro.

Sorry, I was referring to the option of a move to Boro

St Mirren did well today and got their first win under their new manager, no idea whether Heaton was involved or not.

Personally the move for him, although financially good for us, has been a bad move. Unfortunately since Stubbs got the sack he has hardly been named on the bench let alone getting on the pitch.
Surprised he hasn't gone on loan to a League one or league two club - hope it works out for him somewhere else.
