What's up with Ainge now, though clearly wasn't fit last week.

This is just the kind of game Quakers history says they can win. Not expected to so not the end of the word if we don't. That'll be if Nuneaton beat us. Can't come but very best wishes.

If Ainge is struggling to get fit, then we need a striker on loan while he builds back up his fitness. Again the timing of the Syers transfer was strange, left us really short up front - surely we could have kept him for one more game.

Well I'm fairly confident that Maddison will be in goal and Harvey will be up front, and in between you will find the others in some sort of vague formation that will probably change several times during the match. Notable that O'Hanlon is on the bench, more or less confirming that he will be gone before the week is out, and with him gone we will have an entire bench of academy players. So if there is a need to freshen things up we will have to rely on the impetuosity of youth. Can only hope that some sort of backs against the wall spirit takes over and the lads give themselves a fighting chance.

Sorry to say it, but he's beginning to look like the replacement for Collins.

How many games is that we've had an opponent sent off against us? Seems like a lot this season.

A lot. At least two where we've ended up playing nine men.

This is where TW's tactical nous should come into play. He's got most of his summer signings out there today and he should be able to devise a way of making the most of our numerical advantage for such a long period of time and get this clearly across to the players. Chester have played a lot of games recently and we should be making the most of them tiring as the games goes on.

Except our shortage of senior players means they can at least draw on the bench, a luxury we don't really have.

Hope I'm wrong but the lack of muscular presence up front suggests that this is likely to end with Chester seeing the game out to a win. As has been said elsewhere the timing of losing Syers on top of Ainge being missing again, sees us with little to set up goalscoring opportunities.

Quote on DFR 'Chester much more up for the fight than Darlo'.
To me this feels like the October/November period last year when we were utterly toothless. Last year though we had some money to strengthen the squad.

Sounds like we are being completely outplayed and outfought until Wheatley scores.

That hat-trick man, Asante, who we've made look like Messi, is on loan from Tamworth where he can't get into the Evo Stik side.
