Darlington have today signed right sided player Alex Wollerton on loan from Leeds United for a month.
Alex, 19, had a two year scholarship at Leeds before signing a professional contract in June last year. He has experience with Leeds’ Under 18 and Under 23 sides.
We would like to thank Leeds for loaning us Alex, and we’d like to wish Alex all the best during his stay with us.
Watched the YouTube interview he comes across as confident, not arrogant. Look forward to seeing him play on Saturday.BUSHEAD wrote:and

Yep Tommo hasn't been his normal model of consistency this season. Drifts out of games too much for my liking.Yarblockos wrote:Sad but truedarlo reborn wrote:That`s ok Thommo will not be missed at the moment
I think this has got something to with the chopping and changing formations his actual role in said formation and tactics which at times are challenging to understand, so hopefully with these new additions he can get back to his bestDarlo_Pete wrote:Yep Tommo hasn't been his normal model of consistency this season. Thought the last couple of games he has been more like his old self.Hope Tommy has no thoughts of dropping him, the lad from Leeds should replace Elliott if anyone but certainly not Thommo.Darlo_Pete wrote:Yep Tommo hasn't been his normal model of consistency this season. Will be interesting to see the starting lineup Tommy goes with bearing in mind the 3 attacking signings. If he persists with Trotman and O’Hanlon bombing forward we will just continue to leak goals so a no brainer he should set up with a solid back 4 but you just know this will not happen.en passant wrote:It is very welcome to see some new faces to hopefully freshen things up when the team is in a slump, but it does say something about TW's philosophy that all three loan signings to date are attackers. Given the goals we gave away last Saturday it appears that there is still a need to help the midfield/defence with at least one signing, but I'm not confident that the manager will see it this way.
Have to agree. Remember when TW first came in, Thompson was like a born again player, people were raving about him again.Darlopartisan wrote:I think this has got something to with the chopping and changing formations his actual role in said formation and tactics which at times are challenging to understand, so hopefully with these new additions he can get back to his bestDarlo_Pete wrote:Yep Tommo hasn't been his normal model of consistency this season. If this guy is a right mid, then happy to switch Thompson to the left.
Play 4-4-2 and get on with a formation everyone knows
I've just logged back on because I remembered about him! No I wouldn't drop him.loan_star wrote:And drop Kokolo?D_F_C wrote:

And where do we fit Nicholson in? Hes been one of our better players lately.
They think he'll of a lot of this lad so to get him till the end of the season would be great but I very much doubt it..PierremontQuaker03 wrote:just watched the highlights - spot on finishes from Mr Nelson - just shows the quality we have been missing in recent weeks - hopefully Harvey can learn a think or two from this lad.
