Kidderminster Harriers fan in peace here.
Weeks a go there was rumours of Harriers signing a St Mirren defender and as most rumours evaporated into thin air.
Yesterday Josh Heaton was at Harriers match against Stockport.

He will be a good signing for you, as you push for promotion.

Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. The image on the right will be constantly updated with the latest total so please feel free to use the image link below the thermometer on your own signatures, blogs, websites, etc. | Image link: http://www.mydarlo.co.uk/img/BTD-therm-350x100.jpg |

Re: Josh Heaton
That`s ok think he will be a little rusty having not played for a while, let him play if they sign him Nelson will have him
Re: Josh Heaton
I’m surprised to see him move back to this league. I would’ve expected him to land at a conference national outfit at the least.

Re: Josh Heaton
Think that only teams in this league would have seen him play so not really a surprise if it happens
Re: Josh Heaton
On our forum regarding Heaton, someone has said Darlington only got 25K for Josh as the rest would be based on appearances etc? Anyone here know if this is the case?
Re: Josh Heaton
We heard 75k but obviously don't know in what format. It may therefore be true, as would explain why he hasn't had a chance.

Re: Josh Heaton
If our club got early wind of the St Mirren desire to move him on and the full 75 was based on appearances it may also explain some of the turn about in our finances, especially if this was going to mean losing out on as much as 50k.

Do we have a sell on clause if St. Mirren sell him on?

Re: Josh Heaton
They may try to recoup some money by selling but I think they'll mutually terminate his contract thereby leaving on a free and avoid any additional sell on clause. Basically what we got upfront is all we are going to get, which is a shame because he has the potential to be a pretty decent defender and worth more than pittance.Darlo_Pete wrote:Do we have a sell on clause if St. Mirren sell him on?

You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"
Re: Josh Heaton
Does the sell-on clause only cover St.Mirren or other future clubs?
Re: Josh Heaton
Our main ITK guy on the forum has said Heaton won’t be leaving permanently. He’s usually pretty good with his information, so perhaps Josh may get another chance.
Re: Josh Heaton
Or even a clause to say he should never play against Darlo!Vodka_Vic wrote:Does the sell-on clause only cover St.Mirren or other future clubs?
Nice to see the lad getting another chance in football, no matter where it is

Josh says he wants to remain at Saints, but wouldn’t mind a loan spell if it helps him fight for his place.
Did see a suggestion on our forum claiming he may have been good enough for us, or for the bench, but not at the point it was worth costing us 50K in add ons. Granted his two games for us were piss poor, but he was far from the only one who had a shocking time of it.

Re: Josh Heaton
He has hardly played this season so is rusty and not match fit...………...Saunders and Nelson, if he plays, will run rings round him! I recall he was very good in the air, watch TW tactically select Ainge up front, I know who my money in on as to who will win the aerial battle!
Re: Josh Heaton
Didn't have a terrible game today, apart from being skinned by Nicholson for the 3rd
Re: Josh Heaton
Thought he got distracted by Saunders at the far post corner when Smith nipped into near post for his goal!

Apart from yesterday all of our defenders have been distracted during games, nothing new in our leaguejjljks wrote:Thought he got distracted by Saunders at the far post corner when Smith nipped into near post for his goal!

Re: Josh Heaton
Yeh I noticed that, I think that was mainly a lack of match sharpness from Heatons point of view. Large defenders always struggle against nippy forwards - he really should have taken Nicholson out if he wasn't going to get the ball.Darlo2807 wrote:Didn't have a terrible game today, apart from being skinned by Nicholson for the 3rd

With this ref, could easily have been yellow card, if not red, as very close to edge of the box & last man. Josh may have thought better of it, especially being signed on loan. No doubt he was skinned but Nico is on fire at the moment and quite a handful!PierremontQuaker03 wrote:Yeh I noticed that, I think that was mainly a lack of match sharpness from Heatons point of view.
