I have put together a list of possible fundraising ideas to try and generate some extra revenue for the club. I have emailed this off to the club although i believe some of the ideas are already done, some may be worth a try. Maybe this thread could be a place to post any other sensible and realistic ideas they may have.


1) GOAL PLEDGE – supporters/businesses pledge so much per goal scored or keeper clean sheet which will then go into club funds at the end of the season.
2) PITCH SQUARE SPONSORSHIP – divide the pitch up into squares in the programme and supporters/businesses can sponsor a square at £10 a square.
3) PLAYER KIT SPONSORSHIP – supporters/businesses can sponsor a player for example £50 a season and get their name in the programme and website next to the chosen player.
4) FREE UNDER 11 SEASON TICKET – local primary school kids get a free season ticket but must be accompanied with a full paying adult (which is an extra number on the gate and extra pie and programme sale).
5) LOCAL 'BIGGER CLUB' SEASON TICKET DISCOUNT – supporters of a bigger local team get a reduced admission when their team is playing away and encourage them to watch their local NL team.
6) SUMMER OPEN/GALA DAY – local event to 'showcase the club' to new supporters/businesses and potential sponsors also include a local football tournament.
7) SUMMER DINNER AND RAFFLE – good chance to raise funds in the close season when cash flow is tight.
8) PROGRAMME/BOOK STALL – old donated books and programmes to sell in the bar/club shop to raise a few quid
9) BONUS BALL LOTTERY - 59 supporters pick a number 1 to 59 - £25 to winner £34 to club each week.
10) GOLDEN GOAL – a ticket in each envelope 1 to 90 for the minute the first goal is scored plus an envelope for 0-0. £25 to winner £66 to club each home game.
11) PLAYER BUDGET FUND – supporters/businesses can pledge a certain amount which can go into a separate fund towards playing budget – Whitby Town recently launched a successful 1926 club fund.
12) DONATION BOTTLE – the old fashioned donation bottle on the bar to raise a few extra quid.
