I don't think Andy was trying to score points. That's a really negative interpretation of an innocent post.

Looking forward to this one, 3rd away game in a row for me. Hopefully get something out of this, but my away record this season isn't the greatest.

Spennymoor 2-2 Darlington.
Kidderminster 5-2 Darlington.
Ashton United 2-2 Darlington.
FC United 1-2 Darlington.
Bradford PA 2-2 Darlington.
Chester 3-1 Darlington.
Chorley 3-2 Darlington.
York City 4-0 Darlington.
Curzon Ashton 1-1 Darlington.
Blyth Spartans 0-1 Darlington.
AFC Telford 3-0 Darlington.
Hereford 4-2 Darlington.

Games:
Won - 2.
Drawn - 4.
Lost - 6.
For - 17.
Against - 30.
No one cares about any fans away attendance. Does nothing for the club. No idea why some fans claim the moral high ground as they have attended x amount of away games
And no idea why some fans can’t see a post for what it is.Lighten up FFS.

seriously tomorrow is a massive game. Win and I think we will have enough points on the board to stay up (assuming we pick up several results until the end of the season). Lose or draw and I think we will be right in it, not only from a points point of view but from a confidence point of view.
Absolutely agree, tomorrow could save or break our season. We need to get over the line, take stock and make some changes ready for 2019/2020

Have I claimed the moral fucking high ground? All I stated that my record at away games this season isn't the greatest ffs.

If I wanna state what games I go to, and support the club. I fucking will.

I put more than enough more in the club, so don't try insinuate that I don't, just because I attend away games as well as home ones.

Ever heard of supporting the team? That's the 'nothing' that fans give when they go to away games. Maybe you should be grateful to those who can and do make the effort to travel to away games instead of taking cheap pot-shots.

As the club haven't tweeted this out yet.

Heads up for those travelling down to @NuneatonBoroFC tomorrow for the game. Be wary there's a planned demonstration on the M1/M18 by HGV drivers starting around 11.30am.

Initial response does seem a bit strange to Andy's post.

However outside of that point (not aimed at Andy by the way), anyone who claims they spend thousands of pounds following a team away from home etc. does make me laugh. You do it because you like the day out, this comes from someone who does go to most away games. The club doesn't owe me anything because the team play poor or lose, the game on occasions is the crap part of the day.

As said the club don't get anything from this other than support, which isn't always coming when we are poor. I see it as a day out and the result/football is secondary really, however frustrating it can be on many occasions.

The most important thing is that we have supporters at away games otherwise it would be soul destroing for the team playing in silence, other than opponents fans noise. Go on all who travel to these away games

I go to away game too knowing full well darlo don't get any financial support!! I do it because I love the club and I will be at Stockport next week as I look forward to this fixture due to the Atmosphere of the home fans been a ex league well supported club.. So I agree with Andy he does it to support the team regardless of cost... Should be 4000 there next week can't wait

I personally hope Caton sticks one in and sticks 2 fingers up towards our bench... But obviously just a consolation goal on 95 mins...

By all accounts, Trotman had a good game and instrumental in one of our goals through a great run and cross from the flanks. I hope he can repeat that on Saturday, but we also need that target man to bang the cross in.

To be fair I don't think there was anything to Andy's post other than what crap results he's seen on the road. He attends plenty of home games too, unlike me.

Our defence is crap in recent games so we should just go for it.

Overload the wings with the wing backs and get the ball int he middle ... centre midfielder late runs into the box are missing so hopefully we get that sorted in this game.

Hope to see our new signings in action, think they will start on the bench.
Certainly give the new signings a chance to prove themselves. Crucial match for us to win in order keep our relegation fate in our own hands. Nuneaton are there for the taking but we have to be brave & determined.

That's often how I used to feel when I went to a lot of away games - 2 hours in the middle of a day out with mates where we had to stand in the cold watching s*** football!
