Adam Bartlett
Is out of contract shortly and reckons he may well be looking for a new job in 4 weeks time.
He would be good for us if he became available.

Re: Adam Bartlett
Yeah I'd bet he would come back after the abuse he got from certain idiots

He's only 33, should be plenty left in the tank for a goalkeeper. No brainer if he's willing and available.

Won't get the money he would want at Darlo.
Certainly not fancied at York I believe.

I think he’s well thought of at York, and played in every match. It all depends on what the new manager has in mind.

See what happens in the summer then, not sure from what I hear that he will be in the current managers plans.theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 6:53 pmsuper_les_mcjannet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 3:47 pmWon't get the money he would want at Darlo.

Re: Adam Bartlett
Yep he left to go full time and be paid accordingly. We don't pay those type of wages anymore after Syers and Styche left!super_les_mcjannet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 3:47 pmWon't get the money he would want at Darlo.

Re: Adam Bartlett
Bartlett is a part time coach at NUFC so I wonder how full time he is at York? If he leaves we should at least see what the score is.

Re: Adam Bartlett
Word was when he signed that MG let him train part time but he was on a full time wage. I’d be surprised to see him pick up another full time deal - I’m not sure he was that bothered about going full time and leaving Darlo but the deal was too good to turn down.theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Fri Apr 05, 2019 7:59 pmBartlett is a part time coach at NUFC so I wonder how full time he is at York? I’d have him back tomorrow and doubt he would break the bank even with a reduced budget

No brainer, I'd have him straight back in our team

He's got dog's abuse both times he's been back from our "family friendly" fans. Have to hope he has a thick skin if we want him back.

Re: Adam Bartlett
Hate to say it but probably South Shields would be a more attractive proposition.

Re: Adam Bartlett
The way things are going in non league these days sure gives him more options. Barlertt was a good goalkeeper at gateshead and was only let go because a new manager came in (malcom crosby) and replaced with him with sam russel, who despite his vast experience was a dud. Sounds like barlertt could take on part time football and as well as shields would not rule out blyth, spennymoor or even morpeth and whitby
I may not live in the north east anymore but i still support the north east teams
Re: Adam Bartlett
It was well known the Bartlett wasn’t looking to leave but was offered a small fortune at York and we wanted the fee.
I’d have him back in a heartbeat, his experience and leadership is exactly what we lack, but I’d imagine we’d have lots of competition for his services when available.

Re: Adam Bartlett
Wouldn't surprise me if he headed up to South Shields or maybe Spennymoor may offer him something.
Re: Adam Bartlett
He’s not in the York squad today
Re: Adam Bartlett
I'd defo have him back, but as some have said, would:
a) he be willing to after abuse he got from 'some' people. I would say that some have also applauded him
b) he be affordable
if the answer to a and b are yes then it's a no brainer to me

Re: Adam Bartlett
I never heard any "abuse" that was too bad, and Bartlett seemed to put a good face on it anyway from what I remember.

Can't have stood in the tin shed then! Called the C word virtually non - stop. Greedy C, two-faced C, Lying C, any C you could think of. Suppose it depends on what you accept as abuse.

Okay Harry - that is abuse and I stand corrected.
