We'll take a good 500. I know at least 4 people going, that don't normally go to away games that'll be going.

I’m stuck whether to go or not. I know plenty of my pals are on the trains and busses there.

Re: Guiseley away
We could well outnumber the home support, perhaps they might segregate the home support in one stand and leave the rest of the ground to us.
Re: Guiseley away
Am I missing some sort of history we have with Guiseley which would indicate segregation is required?
Was there some sort of brawl and police incident in the first ever competitive fixture between the sides at Blackwell Meadows that I missed.

Re: Guiseley away
I regularly see this sort of call for segregation from fans of various clubs...it seems that some fans can't actually cope with standing next to someone who may support a different team.
It seems to come more often from fans of clubs who have been used in the past to segregation at all games, irrespective of whether there is actually any serious risk of disorder. I am thinking in particular of fans of teams like Orient & Chesterfield who were both in football league until relatively recently.
Are there any football league matches that are not segregated?

That they only feel safe or comfortable seperated from fellow football fans when segregated is rather sad. Obviously some games, eg Darlington v Hartlepool or Sunderland v Middlesbrough for example need to be segregated because of history of problems and no one would really expect them to be segregated, but for most games in NLN for example there is no need for segregation

Are there any football league matches that are not segregated still?
Re: Guiseley away
Fulham have a neutral stand, which is usually a scattering of away fans, some home fans, and tourists.
I can't imagine why this one needs segregating.

Re: Guiseley away
I'd forgotten about that and the away fans go in via same turnstiles and shre toilet and refreshment facilities with those in neutral section. Only segregation is price- away section is £30 and neutral section is £60-at least for last game of this season v Newcastle
From my experiences of going to Fulham this seems to have worked rather well
Re: Guiseley away
Looking forward to this last game away, may even catch the train to take in a few extra pints.
Andy P, you need to go as chief cheerleader, don't want a quiet last away game, may even sing myself

If I end up going, I'll probably be 10 pints deep and won't have a clue what I'm saying
On another note, who's at Boston on Saturday? See you all there
Re: Guiseley away
I'll be there with Grimsby Quaker. Boston is only 19 miles from me.

Re: Guiseley away
Really hope the bottom 3 aren't already sorted before the game on Monday and there is something for Guiseley to play for, it might also bring a few more home fans along as well.

Re: Guiseley away
Don't let a few idiots who might turn up, put you off going to the game. If you let them put you off going, then they win. I've been to numerous away games over many years and never got into any trouble.quakersfan wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 5:53 pmWas going to take my daughter to this one but heard some pissed up nutters going for their one and only game of the season so going to Whitby instead.
