Boston V Darlington

Again no idea how this one will go, Boston have an unlikely chance of a playoff spot, on the other hand TW says we can now play without the pressure of relegation ( I'm still in the mathematically certain camp) and we can go and express ourselves , so I think we will get thumped.
Sorry I am drained of any positivity :?

To be fair, it wouldn't surprise me at all if we have a strong end to the season and win at least three of our last four.

It'd be very us.

They'd better not disappoint me being on my doorstep. Nice to set off for a game just before 2.

we finished on 55 points last season and even threatened the playoffs at one point.
This season has been a massive disappointment.
Gainsborough got relegated on 46 points last season.
Hopefully the fringe players will get given a run out over the last few games.

I watched the York/Boston game a few weeks back.

Boston looked pretty good to me and they had some flair, worked hard and played as a team. I reckon they will be too strong for our ever changing bunch of strangers/I mean - “now playing with freedom”, born again players.

Boston 2. Darlo 0.

Boston will go for it tomorrow and if we play with 'freedom' they'll get among the goals. I think Wright and White should try and get some clean sheets because I'd say that's where our weakness has been this season. Tommy was a good attacking player and White knew about defending so maybe they just don't work well together because they should have done better. Perhaps the season can't end soon enough for them too. What's this bloke from Dunston like ? Would Hodgson like to make it four times a quaker ? Stranger things have happened - Cyril Knowles once played Kev Smith on the wing. In fact Kev could be our answer, with his mate Speedie as assistant. Chester wouldn't find us so nice then.

I've spoken to Hodgy fairly recently and sadly he'll never become a quaker for the fourth time, but he still loves the club and the fans.

His love for the club and fans Pete - Is that why he was encouraging us all to get back into bed with Singh?

I would like to see Kit Elliott start up front, give him some proper game time, we know what Saunders can/can’t do plus he’ll be gone soon enough.
If Kit Elliott is given the chance and shows he can handle this league who knows he might be prepared to be with us next season, obviously if his club agrees, they won’t if he’s on the bench for 85 minutes

What about giving the likes of Maddison, Burn, Henshall a last chance & sticking them in the shop window?

He can’t love the club that much he’s never been to see a game at Blackwell.

Get over it Pete we wouldn't want him back in the nicest possible way.

A good synopsis of Boston. They’re a well-drilled and decent side with a bit of flair and will cause us problems.

Not a recognised striker to start but 3 on the bench

Which manager changes a team that won its last match by putting 3 centre forwards on the bench and playing no out and out striker at all! God knows what formation it is today. Maybe another new one of 4-6-0. !
You watch we will score a hatful and be calling TW a tactical genius!

Yet another strange lineup from Wright, seems determined to play his Nuneaton lads to the detriment of a proper formation .Crazy and totally baffling.

On way back now.

Played okay the first half, creating chances but nobody there to finish them off.
Brings on the changes at HT and we played so much better, brilliant second half.

Can’t wait to see the goals again.

Fantastic away performance. Up the Darlo

Glad the travelling fans saw a good display, but was it enough to save TW?
