Pete, Stockport County are re-paying the mortgage to the Council for their outlay in acquiring the ground from the previous. Hence, Stockport County's high running costs. Looking at Edgeley Park at our last visit, only the Cheadle stand looks to be in a decent state of repair.Darlo_Pete wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 8:55 amIt's good to see a council supporting it's local football team.don'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Tue May 07, 2019 8:38 amSale Sharks play at the AJ Bell stadium alongside Salford Reds. It's the smart one you can see by the Trafford Centre. The council leases Edgeley Park to the footie club after they bought it for £2 million to prevent demolition/redevelopment apparently.

We competed against them for the title. That was it. It was not a rivalry in the sense we're discussing in this thread.HarryCharltonsCat wrote: And they were definately our rivals in NL.
P.S. It's 'definitely'.

And now County lose their top scorer Warburton for a full-time deal at Northampton.

Battle of the plastics at Wembley today.
There is absolutely nobody there. Pathetic.
Hazard a guess at around 8/9000 as the attendance

The biggest match in both clubs history and there’s an empty Wembley. Two clubs with no interest - I’m not sure if Fylde is an actual place.

Re: Today’s Playoffs
I think in fairness to Fylde, most of their fans will have booked for the Trophy final next week, so plenty won't afford two trips in a fortnight.
Still a pretty feeble attendance though.

What pathetic support, it goes to show that neither side is a league team.

Re: Today’s Playoffs
The attendance seems poor less than 10k. Gateshead took around 7k and also had 8.5k at the home semi final again next Grimsby so shows the support is there. Still if Salford can coast along with 2k in league two I'm sure they will survive look at Morecambe and Crawley.

They lost 32k a week whilst winning the National North.

Does King's Lynn's most famous son, Roger Taylor, lead the drumming behind the goal ? Hopefully the match will be live on Radio Ga Ga for those who don't fancy the trek

Wasn't this why the class of '92 signed up in the first place? Just to knock down FCUM.
