Guess The First Fixture
Would anyone be interested in a “guess the first fixture?” As a little fundraiser for the footy club and a small prize for yourself...
Say £5 a person for 1 team each, correct prediction gets that person 50% of the pot and the other 50% goes to the Ground Development or something? I’ll let the DFCSG think of something it can go towards?
All providing all teams are sold
Each team home or away have to be picked.
I don’t mind managing it or someone else can? Just a little thought in me head, ignore me if it’s a load of crap

Re: Guess The First Fixture
I think it's a good idea Andy here is my starter for 10. There are 21 other teams in the league so Home and Away means 42 predictions at £5 a head that's 210 quid in the pot if you only go for 1 prediction for one person. If more than one person can select the same prediction obviously that generates more but then there's the slight complication of having to distribute any prize money amongst a number of people, though I am sure that could also work. Anyone else got any thoughts?AndyPark wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 3:54 pmWould anyone be interested in a “guess the first fixture?” As a little fundraiser for the footy club and a small prize for yourself...

Re: Guess The First Fixture
I’ve seen Grimsby Town do it on their forum and just thought why can’t we do something similar if it’s managed correctly..
Re: Guess The First Fixture
I hope it's Hereford or brackley town away gets rid of one of the stinkers travel wise.
Re: Guess The First Fixture
Farsley away.
Re: Guess The First Fixture
Wonder if we get a home game on new years day we've been in Yorkshire the last three Halifax Harrogate and York.
Re: Guess The First Fixture
Great idea.
Put my Dad down for Kettering away. It's his birthday and he's local.
Put my Mum down for Brackley away. Local also.
Let me know how to pay...

Re: Guess The First Fixture
Well done Andy see below. I cannot help but think they will be more than 42 entries, therefore prize money, which would be higher would I presume be shared.

Re: Guess The First Fixture
I asked Andrew to clarify if more than 42 entries were permitted, here is his reply.bga wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 5:19 pmWell done Andy see below. I cannot help but think they will be more than 42 entries, therefore prize money, which would be higher would I presume be shared.

"The original intention was for 42 entries only, 1 per fixture, but as you say there could be more, but the 50% prize would be shared between those with the correct 'guess'. Perhaps you could hi-light that on the forum for me. Thanks.
Andrew Foulds"
Two hundred entries could mean a prize fund of £500 so plie those entries in!

Re: Guess The First Fixture
I'm currently busy with work and my little one this weekend, once I am free from this evening and tomorrow.
I'll get this sorted and knock a spreadsheet up and speak to DFCSG to see what they think? Don't really want people giving out money without some form of consent y'know.
Cheers guys.

Andy you have seen the link above haven't you to the club website mentioning you? No point in duplicating!AndyPark wrote: ↑Sun Jun 23, 2019 2:13 pmI'm currently busy with work and my little one this weekend, once I am free from this evening and tomorrow.

Re: Guess The First Fixture
Nope, haven’t looked at the website all weekend.
Edit: I’ve checked the website and I’m not sure why Mr Foulds has undertaken the responsibility of this without speaking to me about it, but okay. No bother Andrew.
Hope it raises some money. Get involved guys.

Probably because they already have an official bank account, easier to just pay directly to them, rather than to you, then you have to pay them.AndyPark wrote:Nope, haven’t looked at the website all weekend.

Youve rightly received all the credit, i would have been a bit concerned if you hadnt been given credit.

Re: Guess The First Fixture
Well done Andy. Shows the (our) club is listening, bigger advertising of it on the official site (I'm sure some fans aren't on here) and it's easier to sort money wise.

Re: Guess The First Fixture
Rob Duncan is the contact on DFCSG website for Fundraising so probably worth emailing him first with any future fund raising ideas but Andrew Foulds does the raffle on the away bus so could be how he got involved this time
