No idea what it's like in Darlo, but it's absolutely chucking it down in Newcastle.

Hopefully the covers are on and the game will go ahead. The club have seemed confident about it being on anyway...

Pitch inspections at Darlo always mean that the game is off. I don't remember one being given the go ahead, ever.

There is patches of snow ice and puddles in Aycliffe, I imagine the pitch is a good bet to be waterlogged!

Ironically the rain is turning to sleet and may turn to snow before it dies out.

What chances of us playing a game this month! I am sick of this weather. However if the game is off (which is a very strong possibility I'd say) at least it gives the team a few more days to bond together and get fitter. However, another week with very litle if any revenue coming in is hardly good news.

Mike,
According to Raj the other night and has been quoted in the papers - it is nto a problem the weather calling our games off, the money is in place to soak up any non income weeks. The only slight drawback would be that if the game was on a Tuesday night we might lose a 100+ off the gate - its not like Aldershot would bring masses.
According to Damon he thinks we sold around 600-800 Xmas tickets, so we would hardly have had bumper crowds at Xmas either.

approx 1300 season tickets - plus a couple hundred on the day would still only be aorund 2200 which is crap really for the offer that the club put together.
We'll see when those games come round anyway as the tickets have been bought.

although 1300 season tickets not all are attending games so that reduces the number of fans futher. maybe the enforced layoff will bring a few back who know's.

I'd expect a fair few extra next week (26th) to welcome Whitey back - even if it is a Tuesday
