No real surprise, I do think it's a shame for Whitey but if you have a better candidate what do you do.

Glad to see us move to a split Academy and Senior section, means we can lose senior team manager without it affecting the academy and vice versa.

I thought that White didn’t have the A licence required to fulfil the role? If so there was little option but to replace him

Can't remember 100% but think he got the "B" licence but don't think he had the "A". Not sure if anything changed with that but yes to head the academy up you need an "A" licence.

So as you say if that's the case then White wasn't an option.

I would imagine the appointment came down to cost.
Personally I’m sorry to Whitey go as he has been running the Academy since it started.

Having been very critical of AW I can't regret him going but I can see he's got credibility in non-league circles so should get fixed up. I think it's right that the club has now separated from the Wright era and in my view White was culpable for some of the chaos and inconsistency, particularly at the back which was his area of competence. It was time for a clean break.

Yes, it is hard when a legend goes and hope that he finds fulfilment in whatever he chooses to do in future. Thanks for some great memories and the valuable role he played in our resurrection. All the best, Whitey
