Re: Farsley V Darlington
Not long to go now till the first match, really pleased with the confirmation of the latest signings, and obviously the late and unexpected arrival of Heaton was the icing on the cake.
As always, really looking forward to the start of the season, fingers crossed we can get off to a good start at Farsley

Re: Farsley V Darlington
Irrespective of registrations coming through for the most recent signings I'd be very surprised to see any alterations to what we expect in terms of personnel and formation in the starting eleven. The Atkinson injury seemingly the only doubt.

Re: Farsley V Darlington
I think it's fairly clear that the team will be as above, with possibly one of Holness/Bascombe filling in for Atkinson if he's not fit.
I imagine Donawa will be used as an impact sub a lot this season. Armstrong's comments in various interviews suggest Holness and Bascombe are currently viewed as squad players, and Heaton will probably have to wait for his chance again.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Personal opinion - don't rush Atkinson back. We have the depth not to need to, and Omar is more than good enough to help boss that midfield with Hatfield. Probably a bit early for Heaton to be back in the side yet, so the defence picks itself. I don't think there's any other real controversy here. Tough on Watson... i wonder if no injuries happen how happy he will be. I don't think he will have expected Heaton to come in.

Agreed. But it's tricky to keep them all happy of course.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 1:50 pmThis is good though , competition means players have to give their allH1987 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 1:39 pm...............Elliot

Re: Farsley V Darlington
Armstrong likes to rotate players more than what we have been used to, so don't be surprised to see one game Laing rested and Heaton in or Galbraith rested and Watson in. Armstrong is a players manager and he is that for a reason, he is good at keeping them happy and that will mean swapping players in and out to share the load around and not just ahve a fixed best 11.H1987 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2019 1:39 pm...............Elliot

Heaton won't be signed on in time and Hall is probably still injured, so the team as stated with Watson and Wheatley in to replace these two.

What about Donawa? I haven’t seen anything official plus there’s the added complication of arriving from overseas whIch, as we know, can further delay the registration process.Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 4:35 amLooks like it’s only Heaton we are waiting for confirmation/clearance to play now.
I haven’t been to any pre-season games but excited to see this lad based on the reports.

Confirmed as signed officially pretty much as I wrote this - typical. Good news though!Wijnhard's_Schlong wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2019 6:45 amWhat about Donawa? Re: Farsley V Darlington Match Thread
Disappointing result 3-1 loss, that'll shave a few floaters from Wednesday's crowd.
Sounds like we were on a suicide mission in the first half and threw it away.

Er - not sure what the board has to do with this? We’ve brought in a manager and bunch of players pretty much everyone rated....
