Altrincham
Liddle out with knee ligament injury and set to miss three games but Atkinson set to play, according to Echo.
Re: Altrincham
I would expect Atkinson to come in for Liddle and Thommo for Donawa with no other changes.
I would give Donawa another run out on Monday at home to BPA.

Few of us going to this one, hopefully another win but I’d be happy with a draw.

On way back we played well first half not so well second half. A lucky point if I’m honest but a point never the less.

Oh dear, I feel a row coming on! We were okay in patches but didn't seem to try to attack the box especially when 10 v 11. Little penetration but still a points a point. MCFCdarlo was on blue moon meeting Shaun Goater on the away terrace!

OFC think you need help with this quote stuff!! (Me too).
Re: Altrincham
Mama Cass was a little known Darlo fan and drew inspiration from Ron Greener for her big hit ... 'getting better every day (it's only half of what it's gonna turn out to be') I can't help singing that these days. Maybe when Jimmy Webb wrote 'Line(s)man For The County' he'd been watching Harry Kirk, the Scottish prototype for Steve Thompson. Fanciful musings but things are getting better for Darlo fans. Anyone know any other links between Quakers and show biz?
Re: Altrincham
They will be gutted not to have won it because we had completely run out of ideas on how to overcome the 10 men. But what a great strike by Campbell. I'd have taken a point before the game and delighted that we rescued it even though we were well below par in that second half.

To be honest this thread would be far better left to a discussion of the match against Altrincham.

994 and I reckon around 250 of us?
Re: Altrincham
Didn’t go today. Not too bothered by performance against 10. Very happy with a point, if we take 3 on Monday, which we really should, then it’ll have been a very good return for the bank holiday weekend

Was great seeing The Goat. Was interested to hear my views on the Bermuda lads.don'tbuythesun wrote: ↑Sat Aug 24, 2019 6:32 pmOh dear, I feel a row coming on! I told him Bascombe had the worst debut I have ever seen but has turned the corner playing well and always wants the ball. I think Donawa is going to play at a much higher level, hope hes on a long contract!
A good point (I know, 10 men) but my only moan is that every time they got the ball on the half way line we backed off.Their goal came from a corner from such a back off.One goes for the tackle and one covers.
First time Ive seem Atkinson, I like him, has a hard streak in him that every team needs.

Re: Altrincham
Happy with a point yesterday. I think playing against 10 men is never easy. A win on Monday and we’ll be off to a good start.
It’s great to see Goater watching, I like both these Bermuda lads, they both have a lot of potential.

I take it you did not see Olivier Bernard's debut at York then?

Re: Altrincham
I see their keeper popped his Achilles just like Trotman, so 6 months out. He looked in agony when our fans were shouting at him to get up and stop wasting time! Thommo hobbled off like he had a wooden leg... must have been a helluva cramp. He must have been used to the heat after Dubai in August!
