Reading their message board they really are not looking forward to the replay, nor fancy the trip up. So it's imperative we make Blackwell as intimidating as we can, which has been a task in it's self for most of the time we have played there.

So long as they continue with their poor form we have a great chance of capitalising. In the meantime let's get back to the league and maybe, maybe, look towards the top 7.
"The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

So it’s basically a review of Sunday’s highlights programme then today?

It was good to see him being interviewed in the MOTD studio tonight. Great publicity for a fan-owned club.

That was great publicity for us and well done to the BBC for saying it was our first time in the 1st round since "being demoted 4 leagues", instead of the lazy and factually incorrect "since they were reformed".

AA sold the club really well and made a good plea for us to be on telly as well.

Yes well done BBC and well done Alun.

He also said our two internationals would be staying home and playing for us as we only have 14 players available!

The match v Mexico on Tue 19th is a CONCACAF NATIONS LEAGUE fixture rather than a friendly. Assuming this is part of the FIFA competition calendar then we would not be able to prevent their release, even if the players wanted to stay and play for us. I suppose we could ask/beg Bermuda not to select them.

Loved how they showed the video taken by the Darlo fan, as we scored the equaliser. Also loved it when Dion Dublin commented on the number of Darlo fans at the game. Fantastic publicity for the club, well done AA you did us proud.

As a slight aside to the main gist of this thread I had a look at a young Walsall supporter’s vlog on YouTube. Those of us who were there know how much noise the Darlo supporters made (I am one of the not so vocal older supporters but almost lost my voice yesterday and even now have a slightly sore throat) but this vlog shows just how impressive the Darlo support looked, and more importantly, sounded like from the Walsall end.

Football really can take supporters on an emotional rollercoaster but it is a long time since I’ve been so up, down, then back up again in such a short space of time.
Astonishing game
Astonishing never say die attitude from the players and
Amazing support

Talking to some teenagers this morning (for my pains I am a secondary school teacher). They know obviously I'm a Darlo fan, and they were informing me that our equaliser was going viral on social media. Fabulous stuff! It's not just the celebrations that have gone viral, it's the number of fans we took. They've been saying 'I can't believe your support'.

Heads been in the shed after Saturday , I didn't realise it was Alun Armstrong son on the bench on Saturday.

I think he was being a bit tongue in cheek when he said he wasn't going to allow them to go.

I wondered that myself. Looked the real deal in preseason. Was surprised by his absence on Saturday. I know Liddle failed a late fitness test, but the bench would've still had an empty spot. Surprised he didn't have one or two kids along for the trip as well. Would've been a good experience for them.

Someone said somewhere else that him and Holliday are on loan at Northallerton.

Maybe we should recall them?

Baldrick has a cunning plan which involves us signing a big CF who is also selected for one of these international sides that play on 20th Nov. That way we would have 3 players away on duty and have to postpone the tie. This would deffo get us on TV as no other team would be playing a week later and also could be after the draw for 3rd round by the time we play again. Side benefit is we also get a replacement for O'Neill.
Now, can anyone see any flaws in this?

Yes they are. They were sat on the bench on Saturday so not exactly helping their development. They will be much better on our bench for the next two matches. Only problem may be that you can’t recall loan players in the first month so depends how long they have been there.

WHAT. A. GAME! WOW

Firstly that was a game we should have won. We gave a very, very poor Walsall side 2 goals. Yes they missed at least 2 sitters but that is the (TM) Magic of the FA Cup! They were dire and almost as bad as we were under Staunton.

Connel made two mistakes that nearly cost us but we got a way with it so who cares! The first he seemed to change his mind halfway down and went to push the ball away. The second was a complete howler but the nerves must have been jangling and the ball like a bar of soap in those conditions. The save he made between the two goals was a decent one and he kept us in the tie at Leamington so i will let this one go ;-)

Hatfield was immense in midfield. He absolutely ran the show. What a terrier. Wheatley was also fantastic and was rewarded with the equlaiser at the death. He was denied in the second half by a great save by the Saddlers keeper. Tommo ran himself into the ground for the cause and was a constant pita. Holness took his goal very well and chugged about with purpose and I thought Campbell and Rivers really stretched the Walsall full backs. Defensively it was a bit Roukes Drift at times but people kept throwing themselves in front of shots and crosses and kept the ball out.

There is no way they will fancy the replay and hopefully Walsall will hang onto Clarke a bit longer as it is clear the fans, the players and the management are not pulling in the same direction. There was no fight in Walsall and they did not look bothered to be getting beaten by a non league side!

How great was it to see Darlo back on TV? AA gave a really good interview on BBC yesterday, sold the club well and explained how it was a fans owned club and why the day was so important. People at work who are fans of "proper" clubs have been commenting on our performance and us being on the TV and were really impressed with the number of fans we took. Hopefully this, whatever happens now, shows people we are back and gets us back on the radar.

Raj Singh: You didn't kill us, we are still here. One club. One history. We saved it. You lost. We won.

Belgium are playing on the 20th, seems like Lukaku would fit the bill. Over to you jjljks.

Full time score 6-0. Apparently FGR played a very youthful side but even so a confidence boost for Walsall after recent results
