Difficult to see from the angle on the replay but Connell hesitated as he thought the defender was going to clear which they didn’t. Lack of communication.

Mystified by complaints about the pitch to be honest. You won't find a much better one at this level. It looks in absolutely fine condition?!
Less a complaint, more an observation. The BM pitch is usually decent, but it wasn't on Saturday. It was difficult to pass a ball along the floor without it bobbling. It happens sometimes, particularly at this level, particularly at this time of year, and particularly on a pitch which also has rugby played on it.

The pitch was like a snooker table before about 40 players did a45 minute warm up on it .

It's a bit of an error by Connell for me, i'm a little bit confused by what he's actually doing for the goal. Weird how things can turn around for a player, for me, Chrissy Elliott has to start if he's fit.
Yup, Elliott looks the safer pair of hands at the moment. Connell didn't put a foot wrong... until he signed on a long-term loan.

That always seems to happens to players when they sign long term deals

Have you noticed that we seem to score a lot more goals at the open end, rather than the tinshed end?

That might be because we usually kick that way in the first half, and we of late tend to fade in the second half, maybe.

Will Hatfield is absolutely ridiculous for this level. I honestly can’t believe how good he is. Should be playing pro.
Well on his way (already) to being a Darlo legend. I just loved this bit of skill from Saturday, leaving two Gloucester players wondering where he'd gone https://youtu.be/Q0q0eL_7rK8?t=751

Believe we have only scored 6 goals at the Tin Shed end all season!

Rivers vs Kettering

Thompson vs Kettering (penalty)

Thompson vs Blyth

Donawa vs Gainsborough

Thompson vs Spennymoor (penalty)

Holness vs Solihull

Thanks for backing up what I thought, that is a shocking return for kicking towards the tinshed.
