Who would be a good fit for the defensive role we require
Who would fit seamlessly in to the team.

Looks like we'll have to make do with the makeshift defence we have at the moment, as I'd have expected if we were going to bring in a left back for tomorrow evening, something would have happened today.

Virgil's got enough to do. We'd be lucky to land his namesake Dick.

We've been looking at Patrick Reading at Boro. Hopefully we'll have him or someone in by the weekend.

Seems a good shout, decent reputation as a left back, played U21 for Scotland and probably just needs to push himself into mans football.

After O'Neill's time here and Pears I can't see either club arguing too much. Talk about him signing for a National League Club on loan early on in the season, maybe we could give him a month here, although it may depend if Boro want guaranteed games from him.

He does sound like a good fit and would be a welcome addition to the squad. If he does come, hope he is up for the physicality of the NLN and lack of protection from match officials.
