Looks like we'll have to make do with the makeshift defence we have at the moment, as I'd have expected if we were going to bring in a left back for tomorrow evening, something would have happened today.

We've been looking at Patrick Reading at Boro. Hopefully we'll have him or someone in by the weekend.

Seems a good shout, decent reputation as a left back, played U21 for Scotland and probably just needs to push himself into mans football.
After O'Neill's time here and Pears I can't see either club arguing too much. Talk about him signing for a National League Club on loan early on in the season, maybe we could give him a month here, although it may depend if Boro want guaranteed games from him.

He does sound like a good fit and would be a welcome addition to the squad. If he does come, hope he is up for the physicality of the NLN and lack of protection from match officials.
