We did knock the poolies out on the way through, Gary Strodder's own goal at Feethams will live long in the memory!
Bittersweet was the best I could do.

There must be some versions out there somewhere. I've no idea if the club would have any.
An online watchalong would be great. I've noticed Boro doing it and it's gone down well.

Wonder what I'd see, that I missed on the day, by watching it sober?

Don’t want to be a party pooper but from memory the first 119 minutes are totally forgettable. The last minute wasn’t too bad though!theoriginalfatcat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 25, 2020 5:18 pmI'm picking up a rumour that Kev luff has this footage and is going to show it.

Re: The Trophy final V Mansfield
I got talking to a Darlo fan on the train back into London after the match. He was there with his family but had flown in from the States and was flying straight back there. Told me he had gone to the toilet just before the goal as he was sure it was about to go to penalties and he couldn't wait any longer, therefore missed the goal! Wonder if he reads any of this?Old Git wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 10:31 amDon’t want to be a party pooper but from memory the first 119 minutes are totally forgettable. That was my wife's first and so far only match she's been to. Had a panic attack when we scored because she thought me and my mate were having heart attacks...

Re: The Trophy final V Mansfield
We're re-running the whole game on May the 9th. There will be more details nearer the time on the official website.
Its probably not the best game in all honesty (well until the last minute) but I think this will be the first time anyone has been able to watch the whole game back since the day itself. So in that regard its worth a watch.
Anyway, May the 9th

A missed opportunity by the club at the time if it wasn't
Could DVDs be sold now to raise funds for the club?

It was not a marketing lecture, merely a fund raising suggestion.
I apologise for trying to help a football club raise vitally needed income to survive a time of crisis.

We're perfectly capable of raising funds as required by OUR club. I'm surprised that in the current situation you haven't found time to construct a Spennymoor fans forum site especially considering you're bothering us by posting at ridiculous o'clock.

A fundraising suggestion that had been made, produced and delivered on nine years ago.spen666 wrote:Darlogramps wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 11:29 pmThe game was released on DVD. What Kev is referring to is it’s the first time the full match (120 mins) has been streamed anywhere, as I think (and I’d need to double check the DVD) on the DVD, it’s simply an extended highlights package.
Regardless, people don’t really use DVDs now anyway. Either way, as wonderful as your advice is, the club have been well ahead of you and your marketing genius.
Re: The Trophy final V Mansfield
Glad you think I am a marketing genius, I don't and have never suggested such a thing. I am only a genius in your mind.Darlogramps wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 8:34 amA fundraising suggestion that had been made, produced and delivered on nine years ago.spen666 wrote:Darlogramps wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 11:29 pmThe game was released on DVD. The fact something was sold 10 years ago doesn't mean nobody wants to buy it now. Indeed you undermine your argument by saying the whole match wasn't on the DVD sold 10 years ago. Its far cheaper and easier to sell a DVD than to set up a Pay per view Channel to stream the game that way

I haven’t undermined anything. Nor am I really “arguing” anything, other than the club produced a DVD of the game and therefore you were wrong to suggest it might have missed an opportunity.
You suggested the club missed an opportunity if it didn’t sell a DVD of the game. The club sold a DVD of the game. Therefore the club didn’t miss an opportunity.
Bluster all you like (and you will, because you’re a thin-skinned troll) but you’re the one who commented without knowing full facts.
What are you on about with DVD costs v PPV channel? No one’s talking about setting up a PPV channel.
And why are you saying 10 years ago, when it was 9? Trying to massage the figures by rounding up undermines your own credibility. Just say 9. As an alleged solicitor, you must surely value accuracy. So use the correct figure.
So not only have you commented without knowing facts, you’re now massaging figures, changing your argument and bringing in strawman arguments. All you needed to say was: “Sorry, I didn’t realise the club sold a DVD” and move on. Now, because you’re so thin-skinned, egotistical and can’t accept getting things wrong, you’ve dug yourself into a massive hole over nothing.
