Next season behind closed doors
Next season behind closed doors
Bradford City have suspended season ticket sales for next season as their takeaway from todays meeting is that next season would have to be played behind closed doors.

I don't see how any football below Premier League goes ahead behind closed doors. Everything below that relies on gate receipts.

Re: Next season behind closed doors
Could there be a way for clubs to charge for a season ticket for match streams? Whatever happens our club is in good hands. Not good news for the bankrolled clubs who punch above their weight though.

We could always use the arena plenty of space for social distancing.

Re: Next season behind closed doors
I was thinking that today. Could the games be streamed and paid for to help the clubs?

Re: Next season behind closed doors
The most pragmatic thing to do and I realise how this will sound is to not resume at all until we're in a position where most or all of the restrictions have been lifted.
Even with no supporters in the grounds it is still a lot of people moving around the country at any given time and all matches will still likely require policing etc. Also Accrington Stanley's chairman was in the press recently saying that resuming with no supporters in the stadium could send them to the wall, this could be true of many clubs in the lower leagues and non league.
Unfortunately it isn't as easy as playing behind closed doors but lets hope come August the situation has improved.
