Think it will be an advantage for teams who play in this round as they will get some real game time in before the semi-final, always assuming everyone comes through without injury. Potentially final playoff between Alty & Brackley, then Brackley to win it.

Certainly will be a factor but York and Boston will be at home so I think that will swing it. Should be interesting. Just think, a couple more weeks before lockdown and it could have been us....

I don’t think there will be much home advantage. In fact the home ground will just feel dead and strange.

Gateshead miss a penalty then score a goal in injury time first half, Brackley lad scores straight from the resulting kickoff HT 1-1 interesting game.

Hopefully their wealthy owner might realise he's had enough of backing a village team vanity project and come to his senses and call it a day

I wonder how long Mr Groves will stick with Ainsley? They really should be getting into the playoffs.

Shush don’t want Groves to wake up to that. He might realise there is a better manager in the same league just down the road.

In fairness I've visited Brackley for all four of our league fixtures there it is one hell of a Trek but they are a friendly little club once that you get there.

I watched three of the four games (was flicking between the two lunchtime matches).

Thought the intensity was OK. Definite signs of rustiness at times from players, which is to be expected after four months off. But actually the quality level wasn’t much different to what we’re used to.

Certainly nowhere near the “farce” some on this board predicted.

The games themselves also ran fairly smoothly. The drinks breaks are just daft and superfluous in my opinion.

I do wonder if actually the teams playing this weekend, for all they finished lower in the table, actually have an advantage in the semi-finals. In York v Altrincham for example, Altrincham have got 90 mins under their belts (and from a really competitive match too) plus a full week of recovery time. York meanwhile are going in cold in their first match.

....And Altrincham have already beat them twice at bootham crescent this season I have a sneaking suspicion dark horses Gateshead might just be the team to sneak promotion though.

"Bees swarm all over Yeovil " says the Vanarama site. I don't think so! The highlights are worth a watch. That was a trek back in the day but a decent ground.

Brackley seem happy to get in the play-offs every year but go no further, which is what they do every year, and, oh yes, win the FA Trophy now and then :D

Hope so. Then York will release some of the players we're after quicker.
