David Ferguson
leaves NL NORTH York. Would anybody take him back?
Re: David Ferguson
I think we well covered in that department, so be surprised if alun went in for fergy.
Re: David Ferguson
He'd obviously improve our squad, but if he's rejected an improved deal from York, I reckon it's a moot point
Re: David Ferguson
Spenny?
Re: David Ferguson
I'd be surprised - unless he wants out of full time football. I'd personally guess he's got an offer from higher up the pyramid, but could well be wrong
York have got a lot of work to do. They haven't got many players signed on for next season at the moment!
Re: David Ferguson
Jameson, newton, that's about it new team to recruit.
Re: David Ferguson
Had 20 odd assists from LWB for York this season. Would imagine if he's going anywhere it's up the leagues.bigdavethemaddog wrote: ↑Tue Aug 04, 2020 5:38 pmleaves NL NORTH York. Would anybody take him back?
Re: David Ferguson
The worrying thing for York is that there is a growing gap between the many, many millions owed by the club to McGill's company and the sale price for Bootham Crescent.
Re: David Ferguson
Would love him back at the club easily the best left back in the league.
Help get the club back to Darlo by helping to spread the word about the "Back to Darlo!" fund. Re: David Ferguson
Rumour is that he is off to Harrogate, with a new enhanced contract. Too good to be coming back to NLN.

Re: David Ferguson
Ferguson has looked really good this season. I've seen him play maybe about 8 or 9 times and he always stands out and always plays with a good attitude.
I'm wondering if he's been offered reduced terms and has had a better offer?

Re: David Ferguson
How about Harrogate ?
Re: David Ferguson
No idea. Good player though - although I always thought he was better as a winger for us
Re: David Ferguson
Harrogate wouldn't surprise in the slightest. Quality player.

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
Quakerz - if you actually attended games and spoke to people you might actually find our facts, rather than spreading s*** on this board.

Re: David Ferguson
Good player, but AA only wants players who want to play for the club & unless he has had a change of heart, he wanted away. Probably a better fit at Harrogate Town, where there are couple of other ex Darlo players.
Re: David Ferguson
Is a reminder of how good our side was which got into the playoffs places in our first year in this division. Ferguson, Beck and Falkingham all part of that team.
Plus Jameson, Gillies and Turnbull as well.

Re: David Ferguson
Yes a positive reminder of the quality of players Martin Gray was able to recruit although some will say we paid them too much.

Re: David Ferguson
interested to see that the York City twitter account says that he refused improved terms.
During this pandemic its an interesting decision / gamble to make - or maybe he wants to go part time?

Re: David Ferguson
Agreed, fairly mercenary which in the long run was financially unsustainable for our club, unless we owned our own ground & could expand crowd numbers. Makes you wonder what would have happened if we had got through the play-offs that 1st year. Suspect the administrators would have been at our door

Re: David Ferguson
Why would AA be interested in Ferguson when we have Michael Liddle.Absolutely no way will he be coming to us.jjljks wrote:Good player, but AA only wants players who want to play for the club & unless he has had a change of heart, he wanted away. Re: David Ferguson
Possibly or equally not a gamble if you already have even better terms already agreed elsewhere.PierremontQuaker03 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 7:18 aminterested to see that the York City twitter account says that he refused improved terms.

Re: David Ferguson
I am led to believe he has a deal with a full time club in a division above the NLN, so as you say maybe not a gamble. I understand that it's just new club not announced the deal publicly yetlo36789 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 7:46 amPossibly or equally not a gamble if you already have even better terms already agreed elsewhere.PierremontQuaker03 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 05, 2020 7:18 aminterested to see that the York City twitter account says that he refused improved terms.

Re: David Ferguson
I believe he’s off to Hartlepool.
Re: David Ferguson
Craig Stoddart has just confirmed he's off to Hartlepool. Adriano Moke to Spennymor Town too
Re: David Ferguson
Must be the extra job security at Artlepool for Ferguson As far as Moke goes, it's just as well the internet hasn't yet reached Spennymoor so he can't land in a spot of twitter trouble after a bad game or two .
Re: David Ferguson
Presumably not as their Literacy in the Community officer. Remember this?

Re: David Ferguson
I see you bringing this up has been brought up on twitter by those Spennymoor Town fans who lurk on here. They sign a player they think is really good, and they decide to head to darlo uncovered.
