Sporting injuries are always back of the queue when it comes to getting the ambulance there.
The fact that he had trained physios and medics on scene would have pushed him further down the queue as he was being cared for.
Its not that long since an RA player was laid on a wet pitch for 3 hours due to breaking his leg during a game. Hunt got lucky compared to him.
