Result at Aldershot

Post by Fandy » Mon Aug 03, 2009 6:13 pm

I'm going for Aldershot 6 - Quakers 1, with DFC taking the lead through Foster from a corner, then caving in. :(

1-1, Darlo taking the lead but to concede a late equaliser. Think it'll take a few games for the lads to gel.

Ever the eternal optimist Shots 1 Darlo 2. And I will be there with 1 other hopefully 2 to witness it. Here's hoping for a good turn out of Darlo fans and a noise level we can be proud of to suport the lads. Up the darlo.

Aldershot proved to be a solid side at home last season.

Aldershot 1-0 Darlo

Sorry lads.

Aldershot 1 Darlo 2

the shots to get an early lead only for thorpe to make it 1-1 just before the interval
and then deano to finish it in the 81st min !!!
just a guess like

Hope you are right, but assuming he starts I can't see Windass still being on the pitch at 81 mins. I also can't see him being able to do another 90 mins 48 hours later. If I'm right and Main is still injured, who plays up front against Leeds? Apparantly Thorpe has trouble with his shins, so he might not be able to do both games either. I think CT has done a brilliant job getting a squad together, but we need another striker. Whatever our financial situation, Raj needs to dig deep and give the manager the chance to get someone in pronto.

PS I've done 2 posts now, does that mean Im not a 'lurker?!'

Been on the Bunker for ages nobody really used our rivals site, it was never worth reading anyway. IntotheBlue is quite busy as well.

No idea to be honest. We've lacked similar opposition in pre-season so it's difficult to predict. Think we'll probably suffer a narrow defeat though.

Try 24 hours later - Deano has his testimonial Hull vs Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon which i assume he'll be playing at least a half in. We really do need an extra striker as there's no way he can play 90mins on sat, a part on sun, and 90 on tues.

I've gone for 1-1 on the prediction league with a decent defensive performance after a bit of a shakey start and a Chris Lumsdon equaliser in the second half.
