Scott Pocklington

Post by d5rlo » Tue Aug 04, 2009 1:48 pm

Our youth team goalkeeper has been on trial at Newcastle for a few weeks and is playing for their reserve team at Blyth tonight - hopefully we'll be due a fee if he impresses enough to be signed.

Newcastle squad doesn't seem to include Pocklington tonight. It does however include Lua Lua and Nile Ranger

Was an upcoming rising star that kid, played with my cousin at Seaham last season. Should have been kept on in my opinion, how did you rate him Andy?

He was an unused sub last night - Adrian Webster scored for Blyth in a 4-2 win for Newcastle.

Only really saw him train and he seemed half decent. He had a right potty mouth on him though.

in fairness, i liked him, i think he'll get a contract at newcastle - obviously i didnt see him train but i find it strange for a pro to have a go at a young kid, each to their own i suppose
