Post by quakersam » Tue Aug 04, 2009 9:26 pm

Officials in charge against Aldershot on Saturday will be..
Referee: Mr G J Sutton
Assistants: M J Foley & M T McCoy
4th Official: L M Collins

Seems to be a few new ref's in our league this season, can't remember this fella from the previous campaign.
Also G Eltringham and D Sheldrake seem to be new

You're right Sam. He was a Conference ref last season. Saw him ref a few times and he always seemed OK....cue a last minute penalty for Aldershot!!

Trevor (Watch me I'm good) Kettle is at Lincoln's home match .v. Barnet.

His ambition is to referee in the premiership, having already been the 4th official there.

i thought kettle was one of our better ref's last season.

still reading this is great - means the season is almost here again, just to kick a ball next sat will be an achievement

Kettle was reasonably good last season. However how much of that display was influenced by the fact that all eyes would be on his performance remains to be seen. Another display like the Mansfield game surely would have been the final nail in the coffin when it comes to potential Premier league ambitions.
