IF PORTSMOUTH GO OUT OF BUSINESS!
IF PORTSMOUTH GO OUT OF BUSINESS!
If the Inland Revenue court case results in Portsmouth going out of business..
That would mean an extra team gets promoted from the Championship to fill the gap.
That would mean an extra team gets promoted from League 1 to fill that gap.
That would mean an extra team gets promoted from League 2 to fill that gap.
So only 1 tean would be relegated from League 2.
So if we finishe 2nd bottom we would be ok!

The FA wont let them go out of business , have the FA not promised Portsmouth their parachute payment in advance ?

And if the moon was made out of cheese we'd all be able to take a bite out of it - except we wouldn't really because it is still 279,000 miles away and its cheesy goodness is out of reach.
A bit like IF Portsmouth go bust, the repercussions would be the cheesy goodness, and the IF = miles out of reach.

There's more chance Stockport gettting expelled from the league for two successive seasons in administration.

I'd wager the premiership would vote for a smaller league first.

Or they would relegate 2 instead of 3, and promote the usual 3.

Which won't happen as they as just waiting for the Football League to rubber stamp the approval for them to get bought.loan_star wrote:There's more chance Stockport gettting expelled from the league for two successive seasons in administration.

No Rufus- the FA have already stated in years previous that the Conference would benefit not those in the drop zone of league 2. Think back to when Colchester & then Donny went out of the league . The same guidance applies only unlike them I can't see a way back for Darlo.Rufusuk wrote:If the Inland Revenue court case results in Portsmouth going out of business..

The FA have nothing to do with parachute payments.Ned_Flanders wrote:The FA wont let them go out of business , have the FA not promised Portsmouth their parachute payment in advance ?

We will be playing at the arena again next season - fact.
