If I can convince anyone to cover my shift on saturday... I will be there!

Good to see theres other people like music that isnt a remix of something else! Or music by someone who only made it because they are female and sexy... or fashionably gay!

I agree - everything about Misled Icons is fashionably gay.

Pointy shoes. Skinny Leg Jeans. They have the lot.

north east punk rock ?

to anyone who was around in the 70's they sound like nursery school guitar pop, just like that freak from Towers of london who claimed they were 'more' punk than the pistols ! lol

your basing that on 3 songs from our myspace page come and see us live and judge for your self, punk is always better live than on cd/recording anyway
we are nothing like the sex pistols or any of the other 70s punk band but punk has moved on, but we certainly are nothing like towers of london.

Lol, can't believe I've overlooked the fact that Misled Icons are actually a Towers of London cover band :p

Speaking of which, I've changed my mind - as has been clearly pointed out above ( Milo = Donny Tourette), maybe 'Community Property' is a more appropriate cover song than the more uptempo 'Death to all but metal'.

The lyrics are clearly more appropriate for a band of your new found (none punk) genre :

"Cause my heart belongs to you
There ain't nothing that I wouldn't do
My heart belongs to you
But my dong is community property
Yeah, yeah, yeah"

punk rock and bog standard punk are 2 completely different things. Punk is gritty and to be honest a load of crap where as punk rock takes influences from other areas of rock yet sticking to the general chord patterns of normal punk creating a different style. If you check out the other UK punk rock bands you'll find they all sound pretty much the same.

examples

Punk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bif2q_Zo3-4

Punk Rock: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mvj6Pn47s0s

you can hear the similarities.

hope you enjoyed this quick lesson on the progression from punk to punk rock :)
