League table

It's very possible for Darlington to make fourth even 3rd spot in playoffs, but they have to find there form again, maybe the top 2 are nailed on with the incumbents already in those positions
It's still plenty of points to play for.com,on Darlington FC .

What about Chester then ? Two points behind second place King's Lynn and in great form with 6 wins and a draw in last seven games.
King's Lynn and Fylde dropping points all the time, with Fylde getting a hammering this weekend as well.
Could even see Chester top on Saturday.

Could well be now the weather has changed who knows what is to be. Darlington have 12 games left that's 36 points to play for a lot can change between now and season end but I think we are definitely a playoff place contender.hopefully 3rd/4th place.if Darlo play to their full potential

Right now I will be satisfied with a 7th place finish. The pack are closing in, we have all the top 4 to play and have taken just 3 points from a possible 15. We do have some games in hand on some of the other teams but we sometimes seem to struggle when we play 3 games a week, so not massively confident that will be to our advantage.

I want to believe, I want to have confidence, and granted, everyone has not played the same opponents since Jan 2 when we won 5-2 at Scarborough and were top of the table, but here are the results since Jan 2, the teams current position is the first number
...................... Pd .W D L..W D L...F...A..GD..Pts
01. Fylde.......... 14.. 4 2 1... 4 3 .0. 28 13. .15.. 29 up from 6
02. Kings Lynn.... 14.. 4 2 2... 2 3 .1. 22 15. ..7.. 23 up from 3
03. Chester ...... 13.. 3 2 1... 3 3 .0. 19 12. ..7.. 23 up from 4
09. Alfreton....... 12.. 5 1 1... 1 3 .1. 14 08. ..6.. 22 up from 13
10. Hereford...... 15.. 4 1 3... 3 0 .4. 15 14. ..1.. 22 up from 17
07. Chorley ....... 14.. 3 2 2... 2 4 .1. 18 13. ..8.. 21 up from 9
13. Buxton......... 16.. 3 2 2... 2 4 .3. 18 17. ..1.. 21 up from 18
08. Gloucester.... 12.. 4 2 0... 1 2 .3. 23 18. ..5.. 19 up from 10
17. Curzon Ashton 12.. 4 0 2... 2 1 .3. 22 19. ..3.. 19 up from 20
11. Spennymoor... 11.. 3 2 1... 2 1 .2. 18 17. ..1.. 18 up from 14
05. Scarborough.. 12.. 3 1 2... 1 3 .2. 18 16. ..2.. 16
12. Kidderminster 13.. 1 2 3... 3 2 .2. 10 12. .-2.. 16
04. Brackley....... 11.. 3 2 1... 1 1 .3. 14 10. ..4.. 15 down from 2
16. Peterborough 10.. 3 0 3... 0 2 .2. 09 13. .-4.. 11 down from 11
06. Darlington.... 09.. 2 3 1... 0 1 .2. 11 14. .-3.. 10 down from 1
14. Banbury....... 09.. 0 2 2... 2 0 .3. 11 21. -10.. 08 dropped from 7
15. Southport..... 11.. 1 0 2... 1 2 .5. 07 13. .-6.. 08 dropped from 8

We have results that if this was from the start of the season, we would be in fifteenth place.

We are not owed seventh place and a playoff spot, we have to start playing like we belong, I accept almost everyone has played more games, but we've got 10 points from 9 games, essentially one point per game, apart from Buxton in the first ten above us, they are averaging 1 1/2 points per game or better.

Let's see from Saturday how we do.

Not sure the team can get to Fylde with A66, M62 struggling with snowfall, then assuming their pitch is even playable....
