Interesting to see him at the game today and having a few words with Tommy Taylor…

Darren not very happy by all accounts with the way things went ,seems to be laying the blame elsewhere, if what he's been supposedly saying to certain people at today's game is right. Strange goings on,

We’re in this mess because of a disastrous summer of recruitment by a manager who’d already checked out mentally. What’s his excuse?

What complaints can he possibly have.A glance at our 2023 win ratio could be a clue.Good luck with your next appointment Darren.

Agree. Poor Management and Assistant Management to blame nothing else. Maybe he is blaming AA!

Heard a few players when they went over to see him go “come back Daz” which I thought was strange.

Personally I'd take the view that "daz" should do the honourable thing and keep away. If he gave a toss about the club he'd back the new management, and I don't think any of the players have played so well as to be indispensable, so if they're desperate to follow him out of the door they should do so.

The last 8 months have been utterly toxic, and the last thing we need is the ex assistant manager who played a key role in our spiral into the drain turning up and poisoning the well against the new manager.

If players are going over to say that to him, then it's a reflection on what was wrong with the club. Players in a nice cozy environment. Says everything about them really. That's why we needed someone else in. Like to know who he was blaming and what he was saying.

The more I think about this the angrier I get. This is all hearsay at the moment, but I wouldn't blame JG for taking a hard line on this. Holloway is the past, and a pretty mediocre past at that. It's not his club, it's ours. Why is he turning up?

Anyone who wants to follow him out should tear up their contract.

And Griffiths, by the way, without pinning the blame on him, was vocally bemoaning how "embarrassing" our defeat to Buxton was during the match. Who was at the steering wheel then eh?

Now that you've thrown three names from the squad onto the board can you just clarify, they all came over together and shouted in unison "Come back Daz" or you heard each individual say "Come back Daz" with Griff saying it later on given he was playing. And, just to be certain about this, there was no sense of light-heartedness in any of the comments said in unison or individually. Be good to clear this up. Wouldn't want any sort of confusion about this, given that it could potentially cause a degree of friction at a critical time.

Certain players need to press the reset button.

They've been poor all year and this simply can't all be pushed off on to the loss of Beck and Lambert, and the fact that Alun became jaded.

No ones place is guaranteed and everyone now needs to put the team and club first - accept that the new manager HAS TO shake things up and also accept the fact that they (the players) in part carry some responsibility for us being bottom of the league.

I mention this as I overheard a brief pre match conversation involving a player that I considered to be unprofessional.

In short, players knuckle down, things have changed - deal with it.

I’m not 100% sure who said “come back Daz” as at first I was unsure who they were talking to, it wasn’t till I asked the person next to me who the person and they confirmed that it was Holloway. TT spoke to him the most and I didn’t catch the conversation, but he did not look happy.

This is my account of the incident and I was on the balcony, but Holloway was below me.

IF this is true then the players wanting him back should have worked and tried harder since January as a mark of their loyalty

If any of the above is true, it’ll hardly be a secret in the dressing room, and those players aren’t likely to be here in 12 months.

Hopefully someone who was closer to the incident can confirm the story. As I said I’m not 100% sure who said it, but I’m 100% sure I heard the statement.

Also even if it wasn’t said, why is our ex assistant turning up to games and why are players all pally pally with him.

I'm still friendly with a good number of people I've worked with over the years 19. I can't see a problem with conviviality.
