New signing Charlie Winfield
Charlie Winfield, left back from Barnsley
Re: New signing
By my reckoning this is signing number 8, including Hannah who has returned to Boro. It is possible we could line up tomorrow with 7 new players, all 21 or under.
Robson.
Rowe. Lawlor. Burton.
Griffiths. Whinfield.
Hatfield. Hayden Ngandu.
Hazel. Sims.
I fully understand the need to bring in some fresh legs, but surely that is enough for now. The players coming in need to be given some time to find their feet. Otherwise we could become just a revolving door with players in and out without ever being able to find a settled side.
The problem with all these new players is that they are all inexperienced at NLN level, and we still need some experienced members of the team. Hopefully, we can get a blend of youth and experience that will work and take us up the league.

This season feels similar to when we had Steve Staunton in charge, hope not.

Almost seems as if some of our players who were contracted from the start of the season now effectively on a zero hours contract!

It worries me that JG will release some decent experienced players who can still do a job for us like Taylor and Sukar.I fully get the need for more youth in the side and some of these young lads are probably really good players, but too many changes in such a short space of time bothers me.This is a tough league, we are in a relegation scrap at the moment and here’s hoping these lads are up for it.

We can judge Josh at the end of the season but the one thing without question is that the more young players you have the more important it is they get everybody’s complete support during the games. We can play a role tomorrow.

The way things are going we may be judging him well before the end of the season but I hope not.m62exile wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 6:40 pmWe can judge Josh at the end of the season but the one thing without question is that the more young players you have the more important it is they get everybody’s complete support during the games. Eddie Howe must of got a new phone number, you'd think one of the new signings would have a relation to Newcastle United if not be one of their surplus youths. So much for the relationship.
