Confirmed, he has signed for Scarborough, now on their website.

Looks like Tommy will be back, unless Eddie Howe starts answering his phone…Darlopartisan wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 4:23 pmConfirmed, he has signed for Scarborough, now on their website.
Re: Ryan Whitley
Another rumour extinguished, that is half the problem with the forum people just spouting rubbish to give credibility to a myth post.
Re: Ryan Whitley
I'll bet Joe Cracknell is overjoyed.
Re: Ryan Whitley
Loan was set to be completed before they came to an agreement to mutually terminate the contract and then we got outbid by Scarborough, simple as that really.
Re: Ryan Whitley
They also have a close link to him through Michael Ingham

Re: Ryan Whitley
I am sure Darlo_CR can speak for himself, however he has posted something in good faith at a time where it looked all set to be completed.
As we know, this is football and things can change very quickly.

It can't be that pleasant spending half your time diving around on a plastic pitch.
Oh Blackwell Meadows clock - You are a waste of time
If kick off time is three PM - You’ll read five past nine

Re: Ryan Whitley
If that’s what you wish to believe then no problem, however as Darlofan97 has said, things move fast in football.
They have a very capable keeper in Cracknell, however I don’t suspect they anticipated him becoming available and following York recently signing Sykes-Kenworthy, it was clear he was surplus’s to requirements. Having previous successful spells with Scarborough and the mess we’re in, I don’t blame him.

Re: Ryan Whitley
Well this is certainly awkward, but don't worry you're not alone I think Stoddart announced we'd signed a player and it was a done deal on social media in the summer and he ended up elsewhere, I can't remember his name but he responded to the post with a shocked emoji.
It's usually best to wait until it is announced through official channels before saying anything, just look at poor old Darlo_Cockney announcing with confidence we'd be staying at the Arena just days before we announced our departure in 2012, he will never live it down.

Re: Ryan Whitley
Well, at least Flapper Whitley has got himself fixed up... lucky escape for us there

Re: Ryan Whitley
Was simple for him, would you go for a loan or permanent deal, no brained for him, and he was well liked at Scarborough simples

Re: Ryan Whitley
That's the one.
Would you be calling him a flapper if he'd signed?

Re: Ryan Whitley
He was warming up before the game last Saturday and he looked pretty committed to me, despite him not even being on the bench. Hopefully if he plays on Saturday, he'll be up for the fight.
Re: Ryan Whitley
Cockney hasn’t been seen at a Darlo game since. Another “committed fan” who sacked the club off on a whim.quaker4life wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 7:49 pmWell this is certainly awkward, but don't worry you're not alone I think Stoddart announced we'd signed a player and it was a done deal on social media in the summer and he ended up elsewhere, I can't remember his name but he responded to the post with a shocked emoji.

Re: Ryan Whitley
I know he was less active on here after that incident!

Also I know of a few who vowed to never return after we orginally agreed to groundshare with Shildon before moving to Bishop, but they soon came trickling back once they saw we were winning!

Re: Ryan Whitley
Jesus everyone comes back after a win, footie fans are so fickle and me included only interested in a win. But joking aside there does seem to be a cloud over the club, was it DJ or DFC Board Directors appointed Gowling. To me there needs to be more transparency surely as fan owners it would be good to know what type of contract JG is on also if your a board director then apart from DJ them others should be visible to ask fan questions in this troubled time.quaker4life wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 9:27 pmI know he was less active on here after that incident!![]()

All the directors were visible on the recent webinar and I would expect they will be at the fans forum next week. If you have questions then please come along or join in on line.Darlobill wrote: ↑Wed Nov 01, 2023 10:17 pmJesus everyone comes back after a win, footie fans are so fickle and me included only interested in a win.
