Good way of looking at it, this game was always a tough one and when down to 10 men 5 minutes in you are always in for a long night unfortunatelydarlo reborn wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 9:16 pmBefore these last 2 games everybody would have been happy with 2 points but we managed 3
Re: Chorley
Just need to park it and move on. We all expected 0 points and got 0 points.
Let's see where we are after the next 3 league games. Not really bothered about the Trophy we just need to be out of that it's an unnecessary distraction right now.
If we can get another 2 wins from the next 3 games I am pretty optimistic things will play out ok in the long run.
The next milestone would be boxing day if we are within a win of safety at that point I think we will have enough to pull ourselves clear.

Re: Chorley
Totally agree, no fight, no shape, too lightweight, and the goal difference taking an absolute hammering.Defence shocking, both full backs all over the place, midfield non existent, cannot string 2 passes together.Even allowing for being a man down, this is one of the worst performances I can remember from a Darlo side. There we go, 6-0 now.Roll on the fans forum.Quakerlad wrote:What the hell is Gowling laughing at? He should not be laughing, the guy so winds me up!!!

Re: Chorley
Sounds like we started the game very poorly even before the red we conceded, why did we not start off on the front foot. What is wrong with these players?

8-0.
8 fucking 0.

Re: Chorley
No dressing up an awful result, hopefully a freak occurrence driven in part by the sending off but you have to question the players desire/professionalism to concede 8!
All they can do is put it right and perform with some pride v Scunthorpe and more importantly in the league.
Will sort out players character and hopefully galvanize them

Re: Chorley
Bollocks. That will galvanise nothing. That was an utter capitulation by a team with no heart or organisation. The club is rotten.The_Natural wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 9:43 pmNo dressing up an awful result, hopefully a freak occurrence driven in part by the sending off but you have to question the players desire/professionalism to concede 8!

Scunny will be rubbing their hands. We might get lucky and they put their reserves out instead.
Re: Chorley
Wish it was a one off, but we've also lost 5-0, 4-0 and 4-0.
Re: Chorley
Hopefully and we can stick ours out as well. Are we actually seriously bothered about the Scunthorpe game?loan_star wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 9:45 pmProper head in the sand stuff that.The_Natural wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 9:43 pmNo dressing up an awful result, hopefully a freak occurrence driven in part by the sending off but you have to question the players desire/professionalism to concede 8!

Re: Chorley
100%. That was nothing more than a training session for them, with the exception of Will Hatfield every other player in that team can just get out of the club alongside that clown of a manager.loan_star wrote:Total fucking embarrassment. Sack the clown now.

Re: Chorley
Even with 10 men you can play 441 and shouldn’t be letting in 8 fuc### goals, total embarrassment.

Re: Chorley
Have never felt as embarrassed by a Darlo performance as tonight.
Of course the sending off was a big factor but what happened after that showed exactly why we are where we are. No bottle, no desire and no backbone.
Did their keeper touch the ball more than about 3/4 times, think not.
That’s 3 consecutive halves of football where we barely touched the ball and did not even trouble the oppo penalty area, never mind the goal, but hey, let’s give the manager more time.
A new centre forward will not change where we are I’m afraid, it will help, of course it will but the problem is much deeper than that.
