It never fails to amaze me just how many random names you can pair up with sign manufacturers!

Many true words said in jest I think the saying goes...
Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Instantly knew this was a wind-up because:
a) It was you posting it
b) Anita Asante wouldn't be eligible to play for us

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Potentially a very good signing, but it seems he's been in and out of the treatment room for the last couple of years and struggled to get a run of games together.
If he can stay fit, he looks like as close to guaranteed goals as we're going to get - but that looks like a big 'if' based on his recent past.

Looking like Hazel is on his way, if Asante can stay fit it’s an unbelievable signing.

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Nothing on the official site as yet. Is this true or are people reading between the lines?
Come on Darlo!

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
The club twitter account has put out a cryptic tweet about calling the AA for a new striker, so unless there are any other free-agent strikers who are well known at our level with those initials, or work as a part-time car mechanic, then it seems fairly nailed on.MikeinBlack2 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 11:44 amNothing on the official site as yet. Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Sounds great news then! Hopefully he can stay fit. Wonder if Hazel leaving is a done deal or if that is rumour controll going into overload? Asante and Hazel in attack could give us plenty of striking options going forward.

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Confirmed now on the site, needs a mini pre season before he’s fit so won’t feature tonight.

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Just been in touch with a mate from Chesterfield who rates him highly but did say he was injured a fair bit last season.
Keep him fit and I'm pretty hopeful we'll have the goals needed to pull us out of the relegation zone.

He's brilliant or at least he was when I saw him at Chesterfield.

A very good signing, IF he stays fit.
Stoddart has indicated Hazel is on his way.

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
If fit, a truly excellent signing. Not a surprise if Hazel moves on because of this

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Chesterfield Twitter confirms he has left the club after contract termination by mutual consent. Wikipedia also has him as being a Darlo player

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Really hope this works out, but our track record of signing "crocked players" is not impressive. Just being honest.
Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Great video here of all his goals at Chester, a complete striker: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J0w0JwoxJHA

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
He looks strong, composed and with a poachers instinct from that compilation. If we can keep him fit and get the ball to him in and around the penalty area, he'll score goals.Darlo_CR wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 12:35 pmGreat video here of all his goals at Chester, a complete striker: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J0w0JwoxJHA

But you are now the oracle

Re: ASANTE SIGNS!!!
Interesting comment That he needs a” mini preseason “ before he is fit. We don’t want to be offloading Hazel any time soon…..
