Potentially a very good signing, but it seems he's been in and out of the treatment room for the last couple of years and struggled to get a run of games together.

If he can stay fit, he looks like as close to guaranteed goals as we're going to get - but that looks like a big 'if' based on his recent past.

The club twitter account has put out a cryptic tweet about calling the AA for a new striker, so unless there are any other free-agent strikers who are well known at our level with those initials, or work as a part-time car mechanic, then it seems fairly nailed on.

Sounds great news then! Hopefully he can stay fit. Wonder if Hazel leaving is a done deal or if that is rumour controll going into overload? Asante and Hazel in attack could give us plenty of striking options going forward.

Just been in touch with a mate from Chesterfield who rates him highly but did say he was injured a fair bit last season.

Keep him fit and I'm pretty hopeful we'll have the goals needed to pull us out of the relegation zone.

He looks strong, composed and with a poachers instinct from that compilation. If we can keep him fit and get the ball to him in and around the penalty area, he'll score goals.
