If folk are saying that Josh alienated/sold Kaine by his own choice, then it isn't true.
I'm not sure that seems to matter at this stage.
Oh, bore-off, Lo.

You barely watch the games, never mind listen in properly to interviews or fans-forums.

And then you post on here with what I can only describe as philosophical, devil's advocate waffle which takes about ten minutes to decipher as you string sentences together like a ten year old.

I've been told that Felix was happy to stay under the agreed terms discussed in the summer (of training once per week) but then Gowling wanted him to train twice per week, and that wasn't feasible.

"Oh, but, but where's your proof, you're lying, that just suits your agenda"

I think this was at the same time he decided to send back Barnes to York, a player who, at the time, scored 66% of our open-play goals in the NLN this season.

Sorry - I know it's a minor detail in wider context, but I keep seeing it and saying it by return - Kaine intimated in the summer, and secondly when Josh arrived, that the distance/commute wasn't working for him anymore.

Josh said on Friday night that he didn't realise where Kaine lived until he arrived at the club.

If folk are saying that Josh alienated/sold Kaine by his own choice, then it isn't true.
No, he just alienated Taylor and now Hazel is playing the hokey-cokey due to Gowling’s indecisiveness.
Your post would suggest you think that certain players eg Taylor and Hazel have been playing well and should not be dropped. Sadly that is not the case, so the manager has the right to try something different. Whether they have been alienated or not I don’t know, but it clearly suits your narrative to portray it that way. Players come in and out of favour at every club in the land, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they feel alienated because they lose their place. They are grown men and need to show some resilience and strength of character and a desire to prove the manager wrong if they feel aggrieved at being out of the team.
No, it doesn't.

I hold nothing against a new manager trying different things or dropping players to the bench. What I take exception to, however, is players being transfer listed, offered to other clubs, told not to train, and also have moves to other clubs placed on hold as they are now 'needed'.

And then we bring these players back into the side, you know, the ones who have been offered to other clubs or we have actively tried to replace, and we expect them to perform.

This guy makes TW look like a good manager - at least he waited until the summer to demolish the squad!
TOLD NOT TO TRAIN. I have no idea where you have got that from. Perhaps you should enlighten us, as that is a serious allegation in my book.
Well, I'm not going to disclose my source, am I?

Look at the bigger picture and the rest of what I've said, and let me know if that's the best way to get results and win-over the players.

What I can make out is that simultaneously there are arguments that;

- we want players to live locally so that they can travel together to away games
- we want players who don't live locally and can't attend 50% of training sessions or travel with the team to away games

You are cherry-picking two different arguments, from different posters, in regards to two completely different scenarios, and condensing them into 'we'.

Utterly pointless.

Yes exactly, and 8-0 is showing none of that.

As an example, if your manager has instructed you to press very high against Chorley, when you are 3-0 down at half-time, away from home, then that is a recipe for absolute carnage.

They can’t drop in to two low blocks, as that would be going against manager’s instruction.

The 8-0 was 70% on Gowling, 30% on the players.
Do we know that JG actually instructed that?

Look I'm not trying to excuse him either, the jury is well out for me - as you will remember I said in his first match I was alarmed to see a 5-4-1 vs Gloucester, WTF is going on here...

You're never going to score many with such a negative formation as that and if you keep on shipping goals then you're in bother.

But I do think that we do over rate many of our players as well. The league table doesn't care what we think.
The players wouldn’t have pressed like mad-men at 3-0 down unless instructed to by the management.

Doing so goes against the norm; what you tend to do in that situation.

Rewatch the fourth goal. Chorley’s CB has the ball and we have five players pressing in their half.

Gowling then complained that we got done by a long-ball.
To be fair to Josh Gowling any capable centre half would've been in a better position to head the ball away instead of getting caught like Lees did.
Lees was 20-30 yards too high, which was problem in the first place, though.

A bit deeper & TT sweeps it up.

Kaine has joined the increasing list of players badly managed by Gowling.

You would think people would stop listening to the absolute nonsense that comes out Gowling’s mouth once they realised he has managed to blag his way to a job he is woefully out of his depth with. Absolute blagger.

He did, I asked him at the fans forum if he would do anything differently second half of the Chorley game. He said we didn't have the players on the pitch that talked to allow us to go into a med-block and stay organised.
That is probably one of the most ridiculous excuses I have heard in football.

If he really did say that, then he has firmly deflected any blame back on to the players.

Gowling takes absolutely no accountability for his decisions. Hereford fans did warn us.

Because maybe it wasn't as easy as just leaving in the summer. We had a one year option on him, and it took a long while for it to be confirmed he was staying. Maybe there was ongoing negotiations trying to persuade him to be happy to stay on and maybe the 1 time a week training was the compromise? Beaty is in a good position to have an idea what happened here.

If he says Kaine was beginning to struggle with the travelling, then that's what happened IMO

Agreed, I spoke with Kaine early in the season and he was saying the travelling 2/3 times a week was becoming a drain on him.

Didn't AA make allowances for Felix in terms of missing training sessions? Presumably that changed when AA left.
