Will be a loss to the side, he has looked decent when I've seen him.

Sukar whos been sacked off is now needed you mean! Could he be blamed if he didn't really give a toss and just went through the motions for a man who obviously doesn't want him around the club?

Yes of course he could be blamed. Being dropped from the squad after a number of poor performances does not give you the right to be unprofessional nor do I expect he’ll act in that way. If given the opportunity, Saturday is a great chance for him to prove himself.

Hope we get an explanation tomorrow night regarding Sukar.

Yes. Do these players need a counsellor or something.

Sacked off?--he was dropped as the new manager tried to turn a sinking ship around

Sukar was dropped....offered out to other clubs......and now Gowling needs him back.

I am absolutely amazed that people can't see that this is terrible man-management, just like the Tommy Taylor situation.

Totally agree with this, Sukar is certainly a good enough player to be at least on the bench as he can cover for LB and CB.Similarly dropping Griffiths to the bench after he played really well against Chester and not bringing him and Platt on the other night when we were shambolic at the back.

At the end of the day all new managers do this. There's always players who aren't fancied who they try to move on to make space for a few of their own signings. Always. It's never not happened.

Logically they must all be terrible man managers then?

If Gowling wanted to bring players in then of course some players were going to be dropped, and some were going to be offered to other clubs to try and raise some funds. I personally don't see the problem, particularly when Burton appeared to be an upgrade on Sukar and Lees. Shame that Hartlepool need him back.

Burton was a massive upgrade on Sukar. Are managers not supposed to drop players for better ones now?

There is dropping a player out of the side for someone better, but then there is completely cutting them out of the fold and offering them out to other clubs, only to then need them.

All for a temporary loan that has lasted, what, 24/25 days?

Sukar is also a good player, only 27 & Managers Player of the Year last season.

Terrible management.

Sukar can cover 2 positions and with Burton going back to Pools, then surely Gowling has little choice than to bring him back into the squad.

But Gowling couldn't know that he'd end up needing Sukar any more than any other manager would know if they'd end up needing to rely on a player that they tried to move on.

The only solutions to this problem are either to be able to predict the future, or to not try and move on inherited players that you don't fancy.

You're being irrational on this.

If you don't rate Gowling there's plenty of other things you can use to back up your opinion.

I don’t see what the problem is. If he is trying to move on an underperforming player to bring in funds for new signings that’s hardly a surprise. As of now Sukar has not found another club so why wouldn’t we utilise him in the meantime? He’s not a child, I’m sure he can handle being on the transfer list (if that is the case) whilst maintaining his professionalism.

I'm not being irrational.

Alienating players, and staff, has been a constant theme of Gowling's tenure here.

Why do you think we lost 8-0 on Tuesday night? That doesn't happen by chance.

Out of interest did you go to the Buxton game? In my opinion, that performance was equally embarrassing as the other night, under different management.

So how come the alienating of staff and players didn't have the same drastic effect v Chester or Farsley, two very recent wins.

I'm not excusing the 8-0 by the way.

I agree with Ghost. I personally think because we're a poor team, have been for a while, are prone to conceding a lot of goals, and played basically the entire game with 10 men are more convincing reasons than a new manager wanting to move a few players on, but each to their own.

You're right.

Everything is completely harmonious, and team spirit & morale had absolutely nothing to do with being one goal away from equalling the worst ever National League North defeat, ever.

People need to wake up and realise just what is going on. The way in which some of our players have been handled & treated has been nothing short of a disgrace.

I’d fully understand if Sukar refused to play but he doesn’t seem that sort of character. Seems a player who will battle so I think he’ll step up.

I wouldn’t understand it. He is getting paid and under contract so he should be willing to pay when called upon. Presumably if he refused to play, he would be in breach of contract, and could rightly be sacked.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me to see Sukar completely left out again on Saturday with Griffiths or Platt slotting into CB.

Gowling has tried to change too much, too soon and we are now relying on players that we've actively tried to get rid of to bail us out.

What a mess - does anyone know what's going on with Hazel?

Gutted Burton has gone back, was really hoping we would be able to extend his loan, I honestly don’t think Sukar, lees or lawlor are good enough (in my opinion) but it is what it is!
